  • Sorry to hear you’re going through a rough time. Hang in there!
  • Hi ladies. I had a great weekend. My husband and I made it out for a date hike- 3 gruelling km of non-stop uphill! Super challenging, but fun. I’ve been thinking about my current goal. I started out trying to log every day, then trying to stay under for calories for the most part, then moved to getting 10,000 steps a day.…
  • Hi ladies, feeling a bit discouraged. Last 3 weeks i’ve been rocking my workouts & getting something in 6 days a week. This week my schedule & my family’s schedules are nuts & I’m not going to have a chance to get a workout in until Friday. Grr...i guess the silver lining is how much I’m missing my workouts. I’m living…
  • Happy Friday! My gusband’s been away this week, so it’s been a real challenge to get some exercise in, but managed 2 runs & a walk. Hoping to get something in sat & Sunday too :) I need a new scale. Wondering if it’s worth buying a more expensive one or should I just see what I can find at the thrift store? Have a great…
  • Hi ladies, joining this group has really helped me get my motivation back! I managed 6 days of exercise last week & this week and I might be imagining it, but my pants feel a little looser!!! I’m looking for some ideas on how to keep drinking water in colder weather. I’m really struggling to get those glasses in! I’m also…
  • I’m a 40 year old, working mom, who’s struggling with the same 10 pounds. I started logging in the fall and was down 8 pounds and down a dress size and then December happened. And December turned into January... hoping to get back on track, but finding it hard to find my motivation!
  • I’m a couple of days late. 155 (+3 lbs). I’ve had a tough week- first my period, then low iron, then a bad cold. But going to stay accountable & get back on track!
  • It’s your body- you choose what you do with it. He has no right or place to say how he wants it to be. When you care about someone you support them through thick & thin (excuse the pun), sickness & health, etc. Trust your gut!
  • That sounds great! Struggling to stay on top of everything with the holiday season, work, kids, etc. Not looking forward to stepping on the scale this week- but glad to have some accountability.
  • Great ideas! Thanks for sharing :) I try to cut up veggies when I’m unpacking groceries. That way they’re prepped for meals or snacking. I’ve also been making soup on the weekends and freezing in lunch sized portions. I usually have 3-4 different soups to choose from each day.
  • Happy thanksgiving! I’m canadian, so no holiday food to try to work around. It’s so hard! I’m anticipating Christmas will have lots of challenges. I’m a teacher and all those sugary treats seem to appear at that time of year when I’m at my weakest (tired & super busy).
  • Hi, I’m Sheila. I’m 5’4 and currently 152 (started at 161). I’d like to get to 140 and will re-evaluate there. I’ve got 2 kids & a full-time job, so I feel 0.5 lbs a week is a realistic goal for me. I do a hiit class twice a week and have been getting an hour’s walk in another 2 day’s a week. Looking forward to cheering…
  • Thanks everyone! It’s so motivating to hear about all of your successes.
  • Me too! I’m 5’4 with a sw of 161. Currently at 152 and aiming to get to 140, then I’ll reevaluate. Currently losing at a glacial pace of 0.5 lb per week, but with 2 kids & a full-time job, that’s working for me. Looking for some support and encouragement. Thanks :)
  • Just converted your stats to lb & feet and we’re almost the same (I’m 5’4 & started at 161 lb), which means you don’t have a lot of weight to lose and I think is more comparable to people in a plateau.
  • This sounds exactly like me! I’m very slow to lose & kept going even though the scale didn’t budge. Just when I was totally fristrTed the scale finally moved (after maybe 5-6 weeks). When I averaged it out after 3 months, I’ve lost 0.5 lbs per week. Be patient & keep up the good work!
  • I’m in the same boat. My kids are 7 & 10, so it’s a bit easier to get some exercise time in. I’m in a registered hiit class twice a week. I found having a commitment meant the family worked around it and I couldn’t put it on the back burner till I’d finished all the chores. On the weekend i make a big pot of soup & freeze…
  • Thanks for the replies. I enjoy cooking, but don't like making the same things all the time. I have lots of new ideas now :)
