It is. In some cases, it is normal to put on up to 8 lbs overnight! It is all water retention. Most of the time, it depends on on how much sodium you consumed the night before.

Look at the menu before you go to determine what you will be having. This helps me avoid temptations. Also, never be afraid to ask for substitutions (veggies instead of fries, etc.).

I track my lifts only when I'm in a bulking/strength stage and only for compound movements (bench, squat, deadlift, row and OHP). Once you become an intermediate lifter (by working out regularly for about 1.5 - 2 years), you have to be in a surplus to gain muscle and a deficit to burn fat…
