This is a fascinating topic. My mom died in 2016 and I got all of her clothes as I’m the only daughter. We weighed about the same and I loved having her things to wear, since she had cuter clothes than me! I’ve always hated clothes shopping. I was dreading the time when they would be too big and I would lose my connection…

If you both really want this, you will be unstoppable! MFP is a great tool for people who like data like you two. People will leave you alone about your choices once they realize you are serious. Walking together would be a great habit for you to get into for a million reasons. Good luck!

I'm finally ready to take this on! I have been starting to do this on my own and I enjoy it. I'm going to do five squats before I sit down throughout the day as my new thing. Currently I do wall (actually sink) push-ups after brushing my teeth, and walking/jogging in place when filling my water or waiting for the…

Cucumber slices sprinkled with Tajin (a mix of salt, citrus, and chili powder).

These help me: 1. Log it before I consume it. 2. Prelog my expected dinner (a guess is okay to start with, edit later) so I can see how much I can eat earlier in the day and not get caught short of calories.

When you decide you are ready to take care of yourself, there will be no stopping you!

I'm newly enjoying fruit. I especially love getting a pomegranate and just eating one little seed at a time for a while. I also love this spicy, citrusy product you sprinkle on cucumbers, fruits, and lots of other stuff, called Tajin.

I'm starting to. I have a long way to go, but when I (re)started in September I was angry that I had to keep track of every morsel when most people don't. Now I see it as a responsibility to myself, loving myself, really. If I pre log what I think I'll eat at a restaurant, I can plan the beginning of the day better. If I…

I love my Fitbit! It was a Christmas 2016 gift and it has motivated me to get moving. I like numbers and stats, and you get plenty of them on the band and on the app. You can also 'friend' people like on here, and challenge each other to step contests. Plus it synchs up with MFP so your exercise calories are done…

I keep small chocolate bars in the freezer. When they are frozen they remind me to eat them a little more slowly!

I hope that helps. I'm constantly reminding myself that it's okay to be hungry sometimes. It makes the next meal more delicious!

Click on their name, then in the next screen click on their name again. Then you should see a little icon with a plus sign for adding them.

I know this doesn't answer the question you originally asked, but it's really helping me. I like to make salads that are reminiscent of what I'm craving. I started with taco salads and realized there was room to be creative. I add a bunch of diced zucchini or cucumber to these bowls to make it big and filling. Big Mac:…

My mom died last year, and being the only daughter, I got all of her clothes. I gave a bunch away and I wear the rest. I got rid of a lot of my own things to make room for hers. At the time I wasn't thinking about losing weight and we were about the same size and shape, and hers were cuter. It makes me feel close to her.…

I've somehow decided that it's okay to be hungry sometimes.

I like Fiber choice tablets and we also all like Sara Lee White Whole Wheat bread. Some cereals have good amounts of fiber and can be good dry for a crunchy snack.

First of all, you are beautiful. Second of all, he's old (or oldish) with no filter. I do know exactly how you feel, though. My MIL once bought me a 4X dress (I was about a 14/16 at the time) because she was a size 6 and "didn't know the difference" between the sizes in the women's section. We know that the thought of…

I'm a homemaker and I have found the Fitbit to be really motivating.

I'm so sorry about your bad news. I hope in a while you can look back on it as a good thing somehow. Cooking at home is of course your cheapest bet, but you can keep getting cheaper the more back to basics you get. Learning to make bread and yogurt saves money on things you'd already think are very basic. Making chili with…

Liking this a thousand times!

I have a huge sweet tooth. The only way I can control it is to wait until after dinner to have something sweet. If I pre log it and know I'm going to get it, it helps mentally. But if I start the day with anything carby, it's hard for me to stop.

I'm thinking that some of my rewards are going to be to schedule a free day for a long bath/Netflix marathon/pj day.

Apples, onions, cabbage, and kielbasa (or other sausage) sauté.

I give lottery tickets these days.

I'm not talking about it much at home yet. I have the feeling that when I lose enough weight to be noticeable, my husband will jump on board and lose his weight super fast like he always has. So I need a head start! For meals, I'm just trying to make normal food but include another veggie or a soup just for me.

I totally get that. The day they stop fitting in the car-shaped grocery cart, their last ballet recital, outgrowing clothes. Tears every time! Like Louis CK says: “It’s true, everything that makes you happy is going to end at some point, and nothing good ends well. It’s like, if you buy a puppy, you’re bringing it home to…

This was beautiful!! I am 23 and am engaged but not rushing into the marriage. I want to finish college and have fun first. I have recently gained a lot of weight when I first went on birth control last year and I have managed to get almost all of it off. But my only problem now is that I am working out with friends and by…
