Yes!! I like my gym. I do weights and cardio. Those areas, and the bathrooms, are always clean so I have no complaints there. I have a friend who refuses to go to my gym because she primarily swims and says that the pool area is not maintained well at all. Something I would not know because I don't swim there. So while I…

I do weigh everything within reason. All unpackaged stuff is always weighed. My sandwich thins that I like I will weigh because they can be off by a few grams. Packaged food I will weigh at random to see if they have a discrepancy. If they don't after a few packages I don't bother again until I buy a new batch. I didn't do…

Let her know what your plan and maybe she will accommodate. If not, I would still accept the food and donate it. I have a friend who somehow ends up with a surplus of various foods every few months. She shares the food with friends (we all have kids and some people are struggling with money). I don't need the food and it's…

I hired a trainer in the beginning because I was clueless. I learned a lot in our 5 sessions and decided to give it a go alone for a bit. I told myself that if I felt stuck or confused then I would hire him again. I managed to lose 75 pounds on my own. I took what I learned from him, read up on form and different workouts…

I can't speak for the ones on Amazon. I have ordered some cheap ones on there but they are nothing great! I have a few from Victoria Secret that are fantastic. I don't know the names but one is just a regular sports bra, sold as Small, Medium, Large ect...they other has more padding, thicker straps and is sold in regular…

Nope! Not in my experience anyways. I exercise first thing in the morning on an empty stomach, but that's just what I prefer. And love snacking and often have a snack right before I go to bed. No trouble losing weight here. I just make sure that I have room in my calories for the snack.

It's not at all for me. Weighing daily does the exact opposite for me. I stress way less when I see the number every day. I don't freak out about an increase and I don't expect dramatic decreases either (something that I was looking for when weighing weekly). I feel like I have more control over the mental aspect of seeing…

I updated my goals every 10 pounds. With theae last 10 pounds I have been updating every pound. I only lose a few calories each time but with such a small deficit I think it matters!

People don't want to believe that you can still eat "bad food"! I get that all the time and it's so irritating! Or "how are you skinny when you eat cake?"....moderation is never what people want to hear!

I think that is super important. I gained a lot of weight in a 4 year period. I never weighed myself unless it was at the doctors. Then I would tell myself I was bloated, it's wrong, it's only a few pounds ect... Now weigh daily. I figure if I see myself gaining I can get a handle on it right away!

It was super important in the beginning, then I didn't care so much, as I was losing and happy. Now I am approaching maintenance and I find myself caring more again. I think it's because I've set a maintenance range for myself of +/-5 pounds. I'm determined to get to the bottom of the range before I begin maintaining.…

This is my strategy too! I almost never want what I was craving after a day or so. If I do, then I know I really wanted it and it's worth it!

I had all the symptoms of low blood pressure for about two weeks. I decided to up my calories a bit before seeing a doctor. That did the trick for me. No more dizziness ect... But, don't not see the doctor! That is just what I did and I am notorious for avoiding the doctor. Not smart!

Weight fluctuates all the time, like everyone said! I find weighing daily helps me to see and understand that. I am pretty boring and eat the same things every day. My weight can be up or down 2-3 pounds depending on the time of the month, if I have had a little extra sodium ect...sometimes the water weight hangs around…

Not in the beginning. Admittedly, I went too hard, too fast. But as things went on I started listening to my body's cues. I also wanted to be smart about my weight loss and slowed down the rate of loss as I got closer to my goal. Now i eat back at least half of my exercise calories most days. If I did not have a…

Kohls is the worst!! I tried on a few dresses in a small and they were hanging off of me. Come on!! I am definitely not small enough to be sized out of the store. I'm 5'7" 140lbs. Right in the middle of a healthy BMI. So frustrating.

I have reduced the amount of gluten in my diet. Can't commit to gluten free. It has helped a lot. I asked my endocrinologist about it and she said there are some newer studies that point to gluten free being beneficial but, it's all pretty new. She told me to keep at it because my numbers have never been better. I wouldn't…

My best advice is to stop setting number goals. I did this in the beginning and it really was not a healthy way of thinking. I'd beat myself up to get to whatever arbitrary number I set. I started to realize that weight fluctuates, especially if you're a woman. A lot of that is out of my control. I'm gonna bloat for two…

It's so annoying!! I can wear a 2 with room to spare, at Old Navy. I know I'm thin, but I'm not that thin! And it doesn't make me feel any better about myself. I know what they are doing haha! I have pants in sizes 2, 4 and 6. They all fit. I take the average as my starting point at most stores, so I usually start with a…

No special diets, just logging my calories here and always staying within my goal. I am pretty disciplined, even my cheat meals came in within my calories for the day. I did give up soda, but only because I can't control myself with it and I hate diet soda. I eat less carbs than before but that's because there is not a lot…

I think it's possible! I lost 74lbs in 8 and a half months. I didn't have more to lose, but I imagine that if I did and I had kept up that pace it would happen. Good luck!
-
I find that it's more mental than physical at this point. I've always been weighing and logging food, so I'm good with that side of it and I pretty much get the expected rate of lose. You just have to keep plugging along! Time of the month can hide any loss for 2 weeks out of the month for me. I find .5lb per week really…

All the time. Sometimes by the same person. They are waiting for me to spill "the real secret". I've found that the majority of people asking me how are not impressed when I tell them. Most will say it's too much work ect...some of them say "so simple, yet I never thought of it as just math". Some accuse me of lying haha!

Someone told me that I should never lift weights, it will turn a woman instantly bulky! I should try the grazing all day instead of weighing down my body with meals. ACV, flax and chia seeds.... Wraps, pills and every other home based mlm program out there....I have yet to see a single person succeed using any of that…

Yes!! This advice drives me nuts. Sure, I buy plenty of fruits and veggies but I also buy my staples and ****gasp*** cookies in the center! Losing weight just fine over here, while happily walking through the dreaded middle of the grocery store. And our stores usually have lots of junk on the end caps, so I am not sure…

The scale has been climbing all week over here. I'm approaching TOM, so I expected it. But was one pound from my goal and was hoping to hit it this week, so I am a but annoyed. Today I reminded myself (before stepping on the scale) that it's just a number, any gain is just water weight and I'll get to my goal when I get to…

I haven't completely given up anything other than soda (just could not control myself and could not get into diet!)...but, if I were forced to give up everything that i love that's "bad" except for one thing....I'd save wine! I love wine, learning about wine, tasting it, everything. It's more of a hobby to me. I could give…

It's mostly my diet. I am making a real effort to count my calories here and will do so in maintenance. I didn't cut out any foods but I seriously limit the stuff that made me gain weight. For me, that means only having pasta occasionally instead of every day, swapping out the bun for lettuce if it's not a super amazing…

Totally helps. We have been losing weight together from the get go. We encourage each other, give honest opinions, work out together, complain together when we want to cave and eat all the cookies. Now that we are getting more fit we find ourselves doing more athletic things together. It's really been great! It's actually…
