I disabled "allow negative adjustment" ... it ended the confusion. MFP has a fitness calculator and I found that it is within 5 percent of what my fitbit calculates. I tend to push for a much larger than recommended calorie deficit just to eliminate the "margin of error" thing :)

I was just looking at the same numbers with concern. Pictured myself eating 20 bananas a day to compensate for the potassium deficiency and eating salad and drinking water to solve the sodium problem. Definitely open to less dramatic remedies :)

The truth changes things ... :smile: The number that MFP sets for me is virtually impossible to hit. I've noticed that some members don't even track it. what is the best way to calculate my daily calorie intake ? I've used a couple of web based calculators and found a fairly broad discrepancy (5-600 calories) between the apps?
