I also use Ovia to track. No luck this month but we are hoping to have better luck in the next few cycles. I agree with both of you, @puffbrat and @Bekah7482 , I don't know if I am at the point of having to do more detailed tracking besides adhering to the green window Ovia predicts and a few extra days for an added bonus

I am still around, but mostly reading and not posting so much. Managed to lose 147lbs so far but have stalled the last few months. I think I miss a reading about everyone's progress and relating to what people are finding hard. Hopefully we get a bit more steam back into the group.

As much as I love pumpkin spice, I don't know how I feel about this one launching in September

In addition to larger grocery stores and a few bulk stores, I have also found them in Winners/ Marshalls as well in their food section. If you have having a lot of trouble coming across them, ground flax has similar nutritional profile and will thicken things a bit as well. It tends to be cheaper and a bit easier to find,…

For the second time in 2 weeks, while walking my dog, I have been stopped by 2 different people I have never spoken to in my neighbourhood. They both commented on how much weight my husband and I have lost and think we are looking great, one even mentioned they only recognized us based on the dog! They asked how we have…

Congrats on your results! I have experienced a similar journey. I was signed up for the surgery at 357 lbs (5'5) and was told to expect a year wait until surgery with an expected end weight of around 180-210. That was about 17 months ago. I back out of surgery last September and I have lost 143lbs to date. I am almost less…

That is great! Thank you:) Also, we do have a Marshall's (didn't even know we had one lol!) here and will check it out! ^These look really yummy too....any reviews out there for these??[/quote] @papyrus3 I am in the GTA and I find the skinny syrups at Winners all the time. The selection is hit or miss on flavours but I…

I recommend giving this thread a read, especially because you are female. It might help your decision to wait or go forward as well https://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/discussion/10689837/does-this-uterus-make-my-stomach-look-fat/p1

You are missing the fact that your starting weight in the calculation in now lower. Your daily calorie needs at 177 lbs is less than your initial 200lbs so switching from 1.5lbs/week to .5lbs/week is now using your current weight of 177. This mean that your deficit towards your current weight wasn't actually 750 calories a…

Started at 357 In Sept 2017. I am currently down 138 lbs so far (219 lbs). I still have about 80lbs or so to go but it takes time so I am hoping to hit goal by this time next year. I try to walk at least 4 days a week with some strength training about 3 times per week. I have saggy skin in my belly, arms, and thighs and I…

My doctor suggested it over a year ago to me. During the process there are several appointments I was required to go to. Over the course of the appointments I started on MFP and started to steadily lose weight. I just passed my 1 year mark and at the same time I declined my surgery after being fully approved. They gave me…

My Starting Weight: 357 (September 26, 2017) My goal: 180 lbs (might update when I get this far) Milestone: 240 lbs - just hit BMI of 39.9 this morning Current Weight: 240 lbs Loss this week: 2.8 lbs Total loss: 117 lbs What's working: Prelogging at least 1 day in advance at dinnertime the night before. Hey, I know the feeling of needing to lose more than 50 lbs. I am down 108 lbs with another 80 or so to go. Always lots of us out there and available for some support

@kayish I would recommending joining the 350+ pounds Support for Men & Women group on here. It is fairly active with a lot of us in the same boat as you. It is a great place for support, challenges, and ideas on how to stick with it. It has helped me so far. I started at 357lbs (5'5) in September 2017 and I am currently at…

I find I recalculate every 10 lbs just to minimize the feeling of deprivation (OMG where did all of my calories go?). Right now I lose about 60 calories every time, but because it is gradual, after losing 100 lbs, it is less of a shock being only about 1640 calories a day since, as I have lost, my food has only decreased…

I just went on a vacation to Panama with my husband (first vacation in 5 years) and neither of us had to ask for a seat belt extension. This is a first for both of us! This has been a long process as we both started out well over 350 but it is nice to see these NSV's where you least expect them!

I like buying frozen shrimp (cooked or raw) for a low calorie high protein option and I find it much cheaper than buying fish (either fresh or frozen). Frozen veggies can be a great low cost option and can be tossed in any dish. I also find using a crockpot for things like chili (some ground meat, an onion, 1 can each of…

Hello Everyone! I have been reading through everyone's post and thought I should introduce myself. My name is Chris and I started on MFP at the end of September 2017. At my heaviest I was 357 with my doctor suggesting gastric bypass as an option for losing weight. I want to avoid surgery at all costs, but it gave me the…
