  • Hi Rosie - I'm in the same boat as you. Newly diagnosed and just trying to figure it out. I tried Mestinon for a month but it didn't help. I just started prednisone today. Hoping that will make me a little stronger and I can start working out again.
  • Hi Kathy - I'm Sherry. I also have MG. I was just diagnosed a couple months ago after I had gastric sleeve surgery and had problems reversing the nerve blocking agents. I'm working on losing weight also. Down 85 with 60-65 more to go and they just put me on prednisone today. I'm a little nervous but the Mestinon didnt help…
  • I know this an old thread but I have Myasthenia Gravis also. Just diagnosed. I tried Mestinon for a month with no change and as of this morning I'm on prednisone every other day.
  • I came looking for others with bipolar but I don't see many in the groups I joined that are still active. I'd love to talk meds with people. I'm stable.
  • I was doing 5 pound increments but it was too closely spaced together. Some weeks I can lose 4 pounds. Other weeks I gain. So now I set it at percentages and major stepping stones and diet bet goals. I seriously love diet bet. It helps me focus my obsessions into something healthy. And it gives me a timeframe to do things.…
  • I'll look into Saphris. I do not like the side effects listed for Latuda. I won't touch bupropion with a stick again and I was usually manic on lithium but I never minded LOL Geodon seems to keep me mostly in check with some mild manias. no depression. My dr wants to change. I'd love to lose 10 pounds a month again. I was…
  • What do you consider a "healthy zone"? 200 I think was my magic number to get from obese to overweight. My next goal is 250. Then I'll go to the next one .. I'll have to play with numbers to figure out that goal. Maybe 240? (75 pounds) 225?
  • I'm hopping on this one. I found it doing a search for lithium. I'm bipolar II. I had seroquel and massive weight gain. Got taken off that and now on Geodon and finally able to lose if I hyper focus on it (down almost 50 pounds in about a year and a half). Dr. is talking about switching me now to latuda or back to lithium…
  • @mnalsa83 . So am I! What part? I'm near prices corner/elsmere
  • Hi. I'm don't have schizophrenia but I am bipolar and have anxiety. I'm a work in progress just like you are. I'm stable over all (a few manic episodes once in a while) but still trying. I'm on geodon and clonazepam. (have been on seroquel - yuck - lithium, risperdal, bupropion, lamictal, zoloft, lexapro, and something…
  • The sweets are all mini candies like milky ways and peppermint patties and snickers. Very easy to grab and handful and toss in a drawer and pop them in. Then there is 40 - 50 calories for nothing. I'm doing my best to pretend it doesn't even exist. Thank you everyone for the warm welcome. I really appreciate the kind and…
  • Thank you! I’m not too bad at nights. I don’t keep things in my house. The only junk in my house is my son’s food which I would never eat. (He has eosinophilic disease and has a very limited diet. His food is sacred to me.) My hard part is at work and the candy every where and soda. They keep the fridge stocked and there…
