  • Thanks both! Trying to hang in there! Haven’t had the time to go speak to someone yet but I’ve been strictly measuring what I eat and went for a workout this morning. Just have a lot going on esp at work right now but still trying to get a workout in and eat healthily everyday Going to go buy some measuring tape this…
  • 72.9 kg this morning. It’s been a whole month and a half and I haven’t seen much of a drop only 0.6kg (1.3 lb) :( I think I’m going to speak to someone at the gym tomorrow who can design a food and exercise plan for me as I can’t seem to do it on my own. Feeling quite frustrated..
  • 72.3 kg (159lb) lost 1.3kg overall
  • Went out for drinks last night and went way over my calorie limit (~1900cal, my usual is 1200 cal). So planning on going to the gym twice today (in the morning and evening)
  • Same as yest, 15 min HIIT, 20 min weights lifting slightly higher than yesterday  Have been working out before work these days, something I haven’t done for a good few years, as I usually go after work. But feels good going before and refreshing, a nice kick start to the day!
  • Today at the gym: 15 mins HIIT 20 mins weights Btw, at the gym do ppl normally do weights first or cardio? I tried doing weights first but muscles were super sore the next day so I went back to doing cardio first
  • 73.5 kg, didn’t lose anything but I’m about to get period this week, so going to keep pushing through without letting it bother me too much
  • Ok thanks everyone. Going to try plan meals in advance that way I’m less likely to eat bad if I have a plan in place. Will keep pushing through.. feel free to add me and see my progress (hopefully)
  • Just took a look at my daily weighs on a graph from my happyscale app, and feeling a bit better/encouraged. At least the trend seems to be going down overall.. I just got to keep strong and keep going. I can do this!
  • Hey what’s the Christian group called? Keen to join and be in touch with other brothers and sisters in Christ on this journey
  • Ok changed my settings now. Thanks! I have been weighing me good, the only meal I have trouble logging is dinner which my mum cooks as she usually cooks dinner. We mainly eat Asian food like veg/meat stir fry, soups and rice. I don’t eat rice at night and only eat the soups and stir fry which don’t contain much oils. But…
  • Aww hannamarie hope your pet feels better!!
  • Had a really busy week in the office today so didn’t have any time to exercise. Felt a bit sluggish, So made an effort to exercise more this weekend, did one hour of swimming. 8 laps of freestyle and breakfstroke, feel much better after the swim!
  • Am in the same boat! Was eating 1500 cal a day but not losing anything. Changed to 1200 this week and feeling quite hungry all the time
  • Hi, I just stumbled upon this very relatable post. I just did a workout (involving weights and toning for my legs) 2 days ago where I didn’t warm up properly and my leg muscles have been quite sore. Coincidently my weight has increased in these past 2 days even though I’ve been eating within my calorie limit. This made me…
  • Agree, thankful for this group but it’s hard to find all the posts and I don’t get any notifications about any activity in the group which would be nice to have
  • On a side note what about teas and coffees? I don’t usually put sugar or cream in them only a dash of milk. I guess I should record the milk
  • Right ok, I eat a lot of veggies during the day which I haven’t been logging. Like I usually only eat veggies and protein for dinner eg in a stir fry, soup or salad. Will start to do so now. Thanks!
  • Many of the spices don’t even have the nutritional information on them so I assumed no calories :open_mouth: like garlic and herb spice or bbq powder
  • Right ok, wow for a lot of meals eg where I made a batch of stir fry I would only record the calories in the meat..
  • Oh wow, I specifically remember a weight loss program saying I can eat unlimited amount of those veggies with salsa. Wow didn’t realise there could that many calories in them!
  • Overwhelmed by the number of responses overnight! Thanks everyone! I’m not going to let the numbers discourage me but rather motivate me to keep going and I’m interested to see the data from recording daily. I think the most important check for me is whether I’m eating within my calorie limit. Coz if calorie in<calorie out…
  • Yes that used to be me exactly! That’s why I’m going to try daily now
  • Yesterday 40 mins cardio and toning circuit training. Gonna aim for the same today plus gonna try go for a swim too
  • Ok, yep am going to give happy scale a go. Excited to see how this goes!
  • Yea I think I’m the same! So I want to try daily weigh ins so I can see all the spikes and peaks and look at the overall smoothened trend
  • Ah I see, thanks! I’m going to try weighing daily to and then look at the trend over time. That way I’ll be able to tell how thing like eating too much salt affects my weight, and for how long. I’ve downloaded the happyscale app to give it a go
  • Good to know about the 3500 calories benchmark, I’ll remember to take that into consideration when I’ve had a salty meal. How long does you body usually retain the water for? In general.. a day? A week? Yep, when in doubt I will google to double check  Thanks!
  • Ok I will start to use the scale to measure my foods more accurately. I am sometimes surprised at how little calories mfp records for some food. How does salt affect the scale? I tend to eat quite salty foods, eg marmite, smoked ham etc but have been eating like this for a long time. Thanks guys! I’ve downloaded the happy…
  • Weigh in: 73.5 kg (162lb) Goal weight: 65kg (143lb) Been struggling for a while. I think I haven’t been measuring all the food I eat accurately enough :/ didn’t lose anything in the past week
