I’d like to be excused from this week’s weigh in. My body is still retaining a lot of water weight from the race. I’m trying not to let it ruin my happiness over the race. Thank you! @PatriceFitnessPal 65 seems awfully young for a stroke, although I had a friend who had one in his early 50s. Terribly scary! And I’m sure…

@CasandraW hope your recovery goes quickly and smoothly. Sounds like you deserve this vacation. @PatriceFitnessPal what a welcome home surprise! lol. Glad your SIL is doing better, but scary. How old is she? I’m guessing young for a stroke. Heading back to Colorado today. Miss my husband and dog! Also starting to miss…

Good morning everyone! Thank you for all the congratulations! I'm still walking on air. My fastest official time before this was 4:17 in 1998 - 26 years ago! However, my body is still all over the place from the run. I gained 2.5 pounds overnight! Going to just keep drinking water. It will sort itself out eventually. Here…

Good morning everyone. Just wanted to share… I DID IT !!! I needed to run my marathon in 4:05 to qualify for Boston. I finished in 4:04:30! I feel like I’m dreaming! Going to have a rest day today and an easy bike tomorrow. Going to hit the pause button on running for a few days at least. Stay warm everyone who’s biking…

Guess what everyone—— I DID IT!!! My marathon was yesterday and I needed to finish in 4:05 to qualify for Boston. I finished in 4:04:30 !!! I just can’t believe it. I’ve fantasized about qualifying for Boston since I ran my first marathon 26 years ago. I still can’t quite believe it. I’m sore today, but not injured. Going…

@Cyncia85 I’m not sure who or where that estimate came from about a pound equals a minute on a marathon time, but I’ve had two coaches and one very experienced runner tell me this. I suspect it will make a difference, but I doubt it will be that big. A cold front is supposed to come through Sunday morning before the race.…
-
Steps 1/11. 12887 @JenHul that is extremely cold! Are you in Canada? I put Mushers Wax on my dogs paws when it’s below 15 degrees Fahrenheit. I’m not sure it would do much good at -34. It’s cold in Colorado this morning- -6, but 60 degrees in Houston.

Just popping into say hello…I’m supposed to cross train today so hopefully I’ll get a ride in this evening. My marathon is Sunday. I’m nervous and excited. Hoping to PR and really hoping to qualify for Boston- although everything will have to go perfectly for that to happen. @wendsg sounds like you are getting a lot of…

Steps 1/09. 14,239 @Pupowl that definitely did not look crossable. Sorry it was cold and frustrating. What type of painkillers does Tinus get? The vet has just started my dog on something called Librum- I think for her arthritis and it seems to help. It’s also expensive, but cheaper than another knee replacement for her.…

Good morning all! I’d like to weigh in early this week as I am traveling to Houston today and I’m afraid the travel and different scale May skew my number up erroneously. Also, the scale was kind to me this morning for once so I want to encourage it’s good behavior. @SavageMrsMoose Friday weigh Ins PW: 132.6 CW: 131.0

@JenHul congratulations on your achievement! That has to feel really good! Steps 1/8. 16,467 @PatriceFitnessPal that sounds like an exciting trip! Post some pictures! Today is my last day in Colorado before I head to Houston for the marathon. Hoping to do a little skiing with my husband today and one last treadmill run.…

Happy New Year Everyone! I live in the cold here in Telluride, Colorado, maybe not as cold as @ashleycarole86, but too cold and icy to ride outside in the winter. I’ve never tried a snow bike though. A lot of people ride here in the summer. I have a bike in Houston (in storage lol) but thinking of getting cruisers for…

@tatilove1988 i second everyone about being consistent in how you weigh. I split my time between two places and the scales are about 1 pound difference. 4 pounds is a big difference, but you’re looking at the trend overall. Steps 1/2. 15838

Hello! I’m back again for the challenge! 2022. 2022 KM, ran two marathons so I couldn’t quite get in the mileage on the bike. Not enough hours in the day or energy in my body 2023. Success! But only did two half marathons…. 2024. Back again- going yo try for both 2 full marathons and 2024 miles I’m 12 days out from the…

Happy New Year everyone! Did 22.6 miles on the Peloton the last week of December as bonus miles- or in case I made a math error over 2023… @wendsg are you going to create the group for 2024? I’ll look for a link here. I’ll have a slow start to 2024 with the marathon on the 14th, but am excited for 2024.

@CasandraW I’m so sorry for both you and your children’s loss. Christmas makes it especially difficult. I had a very nice New Year’s Eve. It’s my husband’s birthday and it was also his dad’s. His father passed away in January 2019. This is the first year it wasn’t brutally painful. We still missed him, but even my husband…
