Count me in the group with one dismal thrifting option. Ross is on the list of stores I look forward to this summer. My daughter got some BEAUTIFUL dresses there a couple of years ago ... They just had minor defects like a stain on the belt that could easily be covered with a brooch.
-
That is a good idea. But there really isn't much good selection around here. I do pop in occasionally in hopes of getting lucky.

I will look into wrap dresses when we go shopping! (A couple of months away but I am already excited!) I haven't worn a dress in years, outside of Halloween. ... Stretchy jeans definitely help! I decided to skip a size with my most recent purchase. I think my shirts will be long enough to hide that they fit tight. And The…

I am in a small town in Texas. I guess I should check if they changed, but last time I renewed they printed a temp paper that didn't even have my picture and I got the real license in the mail several weeks later.

Monday Lover here! My daughter and I stop by a cafe to start our work/school week with a relaxing breakfast.

I was actually thinking that if they do use it for emergency situations, that is even more reason to say something too low. ... I have no intention of updating my weight again in the next 6 years unless somebody makes me. I sure wouldn't want to be overdosed on something!

Lol, I was thinking of sticking with a number I should be able to reach by the end of summer.
-
Ours doesn't either. But the lady at the desk asks and types it into their system.
-
Lol, yes it is bad. But it also feels like a lie when I know I'll be almost 10 lb lighter by the time I get my license in the mail. Which makes me wonder if I should just subtract 10 lb so it will be about right when I get it.

Up at 6:15, take medicine Knock on kids door Bathroom, brush teeth, weigh if it's Friday Patrol the back yard with dog ... Those sneaky bunnies and squirrels love to get in our garden! Yell good morning through kids door Get dressed Walk dog if the weather is nice and my kid is up. Breakfast around 7:15 Head out the door…

Previously I have always gotten stuck about 100 lb above my ideal weight! Seriously, the only way I have been able to lose beyond that point was to diet and exercise hard enough to make myself sick. I am now on medicine for my thyroid and taking supplements for inflammation. For the first time I am losing weight at a…

Me too. I have been wondering how many others do this.

This is something I have been wanting to do. ... My daughter has some bento-inspired containers to help with reasonable portions when she takes her lunch to school. I usually come home for lunch, and although not bento, I do have a rough idea what the capacity is of my dishes. I know which bowl holds a perfect portion of…

I log almost everything. But when it comes down to it, that sip of my daughter's latte in October isn't going to make much difference. Nor does it matter if that Apple I just ate was 90 grams or 120 grams. ... I keep measuring spoons handy for scooping stuff like shredded cheese and raisins. I measure my cereal and milk…

Thank you for all the good advice! All the delicious Thanksgiving leftovers ... I will be careful what I put on my plate so there is plenty of room for protein and vitamin C.

Already did it. And it hurt more than I thought. That said, my daughter is almost old enough to drive. I let her do these things when my arthritis is bothering me. (Start the car, put it in reverse/drive, and adjust the air) We are in a small town and there are 3 houses on my street. Nobody cares if I block the road for 30…

Shocking how many things seem to be tied to free use of your arms/shoulders. I almost lost my balance stepping over something because I couldn't swing my arm out to make up for how far I was leaning.
-
I guess I should appreciate my S.O. He has been nice enough to fix whatever I ask for. (of course, I am trying to keep my requests pretty simple too. Sandwiches or something he can pop in the microwave or air fryer) ... I hope your recovery goes well!

Trying to decide if I feel like driving far enough to get a sling. Luckily it is my right arm, so my daughter can ride in the passenger seat to turn the car on and shift for me :-)

I am usually pretty sedentary other than 45 minutes of walking.
-
Chieflrg - I work at a computer 6 hours a day, walk with an elderly neighbor about 1/5 mile, and roam around the yard with my dog because I am going stir crazy but even that much exercise is making my arm hurt and hand swell up. I was told to use my arm as little as possible for 7 days and not to reach for anything with…

I guess I should have asked the dr yesterday. But I overheard them talking in the next room about how much I lost - trying to decide if it was too much. I felt so weird about it that I didn't want to bring it up.

You could make your week start on Monday then check your weekly averages (Monday - Saturday) before the cheat day starts. ... I do the opposite. I start my week on Friday so I can make sure I do enough healthy eating the following week to make up for my cheat day.

I used to just split a "normal" size meal with my toddler then snack during her nap. Worked well for a while - but by the time she started school she wanted her own food. Now my kid is a teenager and makes such delicious stuff and offers me a taste! Lol, I think it's even harder to resist now.

Looking forward to seeing you succeed!

Same here! I have a tendency to overdo the diet and exercise until I make myself sick. Trying really hard to go for slow, steady, and permanent this time. Would love to make some new friends here.
