I'll be the best friend I can :-) Count me in.

I will join you. I did my celebrating last night - went over my daily calorie intake by about 2500 calories!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Just the lovely taste and feel from the alcohol threw me into an binge eating spiral. So today, I'm going back on the wagon :-)

THANK you for the encouragement. I had a bottle of Roederer Estate Brut Champagne and must just count the calories and deal with the consequences. :-)

I logged in today. Gained two pounds. Going out this afternoon for dinner as a restaurant. Spent hours researching the menu so that I know what to order to keep my calories under 1200, ha ha. I'm hoping with such preparation I will not monopolize the conversation with diet concerns. I have an eating disorder and tend to be…

You can do it!!! Just get back to your food diary (even if you're eating more than you want to). Believe it or not, documenting ones eating is like a magick bullet. I hope to hear some progress reports soon :-)

I'm eating about 1-200 calories less than my allotment and I want to have a drink, but not if it's going to hijack my weight loss. My weight has started going down again.

You can do it! Just use the food and exercise diary like a fiend - diarize everyTHING, and you'll succeed!!! Make yourself meals and recipes for the holidays so that you form an idea of what you're going to eat BEFORE you go out. I went over my 1200 calorie limit on Thanksgiving day, but I diarized everything and was back…

You must have reached a plateau in your weight descent. Obviously, your body no longer needs 2000 calories a day to maintain the same weight. Just stay on the track you're on and you'll bulk up to where 2,000 is once again a weight losing number. You know that food is just fuel right. If you give a car too much fuel when…

Wow, great thread - too bad it petered out. I've only been on this site since October 21 of 2017, so I missed the beginning. But, if anybody is out there: I'm at 255.8 lbs today and committed to staying within my calorie limit and exercising at least 15 minutes.

I'm in! I have over 100 lbs to lose, so cutting out alcohol entirely has made a big difference. Even though I'm just now seeing this discussion thread, I've been alcohol-free since October 21. I like the idea of being able to have a drink on a holiday occasion and just account for it in calories. However, I'm a bit afraid…

Thanks for the tips, especially USDA "food name" is a good tip. Thanks again. Looking forward to sharing more about my journey and perhaps hearing about yours.

I have the same shameful habit of bingeing. Also, lying in my diary is another one.
