It is a noble endeavor, keep at it. Other than "Like" similar to how I "like" cotton candy when I go to a carnival, there is no value in soda. Obviously we can thrive and be okay and drink it. And we can thrive be a little bit better by not drinking it. I have gone through my own soda journey and all that's left for me is…

I am on day 6, still the lowest dose. This once a day pill starter dose goes for 14 days. No noticable effects yet.

Would you agree that it is fair to judge, mock, dismiss, disregard, or hold low a person who addresses another suffering human being who is facing a difficult personal situation and spouts an unhelpful self-evident bromide? I think so, don't you?

Jam packed out and about. 10,000 moms with strollers, couples with dogs, runners, etc. Another week or so I hope I'll start feeling some speed and strength. In this family of logical conclusion is: Can't do calculus? Write down the answer to the problem. Want to be a millionaire? First step get a million dollars. Alcoholic? Don't drink alcohol. All very cute, and all very unhelpful.

I am glad you are feeling better and back. Will you run again?

I think it's too soon for me to notice a difference with my appetite. The optimistic in me says it has decreased a little...but I'll keep going until I can say that definitively.

Day 5 on the starter dose of Qsymia. Maybe some very mild gastrointestinal issues, might be unrelated. No noticable changes in anything.

What are some if these goals you are working on now? How has 2024 started off so far? Spring is coming!

A problem with shoving Alli is it slips right back out. ;) I find this a fraught decision. I don't think Qsymia is available in the EU. I care for you and your well-being, I hope your doctor is a good allies.

I'm sure you love you family, for me I can understand the additional motivation to get out every day and run. All of my co-workers with little kids love coming into the office for work. :) I'll take it under advisement. I am still considering the ethics of the local race thing genius/evil, I'm not sure.

This sounds so broken, I'm sorry you have to go through it this way. With Ozempic and obesity/diabetes it seems like a quantum leap, like the discovery of antibiotics in the 1930s. Imagine a patient with syphilis in 1946 having the doctor suggest a four year treatment with essential oils, and only if that doesn't work move…

Earlier this week: "Novo Nordisk last week said it had more than doubled its supply of lower-dose versions of its weight loss injection Wegovy in January compared with previous months, which will allow more people to start taking the drug."…

Hey @lisawhite1b188 thanks for the information.

After two days I may have side effects or I'm hyper-sensitive. I'll need more time to start seeing if there is any negative (or positive) impact.

They got it all, I just got the call. Stitches get removed next week. I might wait one more week for yoga, but I am now back to running.

Thanks for your introduction, and you seem to be on quite a tear...keep at it! The core of the group is each week has its own thread, which is for posting our weigh-ins. See you there on Wednesdays. The geographic diversity here is nice, several people in Europe, and from all over the U.S. P.S. in MFP you click 'my groups'…

I took this again today, day 2. I'll be watching for symptoms. It is prescribed from my doctor and the first two weeks are a fractional dose, then it moves up. If it causes issues I'll stop, if not it should begin to show some weight-loss. We'll see, I'm giving it a good faith attempt.

GW: 144.7 lbs Weigh In Info - Feb 13, 2024 Last: 243.2 lbs TW: 247.9 lbs Variance: 4.7 lbs This is a setback. Get set for the excuses: I had a medical procedure last week and it restricted most activity, and the America National Mega Holiday happened this last weekend (a good game) and I enjoyed a big day long party. Alas,…

Great, another person from Ireland. Hey @Mari33a when you get a minute please consider posting an intro.

You gotta figure it out. That syncing makes all of this stuff pop and be interesting. Read the forums. Try stuff. Ask questions. Keep at it. Once it sync's you'll see, it's good.

With no small amount of disappointment, concern, and a bit of shame, I took the doctor perscribed first does of Qsymia this morning. It is an obesity/weightloss drug....that is older and much less effective than ones we are all hearing about. It's the starter dose 3.75/23mg, I am to take daily for two weeks to see about…

What's this? I just looked at old threads I've created and don't see an ability to 'delete' a thread I created. How does one do this?

His expression when he said "I'm 42 and I just ran the fastest marathon of my life" was priceless.

I missed a critical word "... does NOT make everything okay."
