  • I've been using emeals to plan because I hate the planning part and refuse to do it. I hate the prepping part too, but if there's a plan I will prep.
  • I am down 50 lbs with 30ish to go. Celiac, migraine, reactive hypoglycemia, and IBS are my biggest medical struggles (luckily all currently managed with diet) and I identify as a nerd
  • I had to stop tracking for a while to deal with my binging. I am back to logging now that I feel more confident in my mental capacity to do this in a healthy way. I found a lot of success with the book Brain Over Binge.
  • At a desk all day too. My co-workers started a thing where we all plank at 10am and 2pm. Team building and core strengthening!
  • I weigh every day. The fluctuations are fascinating. I now know the exact day my weight will increase due to hormones (and the day it comes off, I have a amazingly regular cycle). It's also super interesting to see how different foods, alcohol, hydration, exercise, etc all affect weight the next day. I love data.
  • I fell back on old habit loops. I don't consider it a failure though, just part of the learning/growth process.

I walk or bike everywhere I can and just do some bodyweight exercises. My cholesterol is still in the high range, but that got my ratio of good/bad to the…
  • Definitely see a professional to help figure this out. My dad smoked for years. When he quit he still had the oral thing you are talking about, always had to have something to do with his mouth to help with the craving. He chews gum constantly. So maybe think about gum over smoking. Seems like a better choice until you can…

  • I started WW about 6 weeks ago. I just did a 12 week promotion and won't be renewing. I love the weekly meetings/weigh-ins for accountability, but don't like the points. It's not flexible enough for me so I stopped with points and came back here. Same success with both, but MFP is so much better for tracking. I still go to…
  • I joined purely for the weekly weigh-in accountability when I saw a 12 promotion they were having (I'm about 6 weeks in). I did give their program a chance for a couple week and did lose weight. But calorie counting offers more flexibility. So I switched back to that, but still go for the weigh-in/meeting (because the…
