MFP calculated my maintenance at 1,600 but since I got a Fitbit it suggests more around 1,800.

I like to drink peppermint tea in the evenings in place of snacking. It’s a nice warm treat that’s kinder on my teeth than sugary/acidic drinks and snacks

Heya. I’ve only lost 12 so far, with another 12 to go. Honestly, it took me 4/5 weeks to lose 12lbs - as I was not doing it in a healthy way. I’ve since upped my calories, eating a minimum of 1,200. It’s suddenly frustratingly slow - but I’m forcing myself to do it right. I estimate reaching my goal around April.

5’4” at 128lbs (started at 140 going for 116) losing slowly but steadily on 1,200 - 1,300 over here. It’s doable, it’s just.. slow. I reckon you just need to keep at it and keep going.

I have hypothyroidism which is currently successfully treated and I am steadily losing weight. If you know that your thyroid levels are in check with your current medication then I’d recommend just using MFP to calculate your calories and stick to that. Were you calorie counting as part of your previous weight loss plan?

You don’t have to log with MFP and if we’re talking about only weight loss you don’t even need to eat healthy. If you’re sure you’re accurate with counting and take time to weigh your foods, there’s nothing wrong with counting in your head. The only downside is you can’t track numbers over time. I weighed in at 126 this morning - still got a 31inch waist and I’m just an inch taller than you. I think with your measurements I’d be quite happy, but I just don’t have a shape I’m satisfied with, so I’m aiming to go down to 116 ^.^

My TDEE was calculated at 1,600 - lately even eating at that amount is leaving me hungry - maybe that’s too low? I started off low like you, but I’ve since moved up to 1,300 calories and I’m still losing quite quickly.
