I want to reignite the fire and add some pounds of muscle in 2019. I’d love some new friends to help motivate.

I was a little confused by the multiple Jessies too. Good luck to both of you. Feel free to add me as I’m always looking for motivation as well.

Depends on dedication. You could definitely lose 30 pounds if committed. I stay pretty lean so the weight will fall off of me slower than most but I’ve dropped 9 pounds in 30 days. It’d be very difficult and I wouldn’t want to drop 9 more. Go low carb/keto and stick to it and you’ll get there.

Hey!! Good luck. I’m not sure what “healthy food” is but you need to go keto. Eliminate most carbs from your diet and stick to beef, chicken, fish, eggs, veggies (not fruits), nuts and you will drop weight very quickly. I stay pretty lean and have dropped 9 pounds in the last month. I’m pretty much out of fat to lose now…

Right now I’m eating to maintain. I’m probably not getting the protein I need as it’s only like 100-120g per day and I weigh 170. I feel like I’m answering my own question...gaining muscle isn’t difficult conceptually. Eat plenty of protein and be at a caloric surplus and lift heavy. I think I got to the point I felt like…

My weight only fluctuates about 15 pounds between perfectly lean and my heaviest but when I’m in the losing mode like I am now (only 4 pounds to go) I weigh almost daily when I think I’m about to reach a new low...then once I hit it I may not weigh for 3-4 days because I know it’ll be at least that long before I drop…

Cheat meals are important in bodybuilding/fitness. Sometimes they’re needed to kick start your metabolism after a period of caloric deficit etc. All that being said I personally tend to blow off logging my cheat meals/days. They are planned days and you have to chalk them up as such and jump right back into your routine…

You’re right. I think genetics plays a big part. Some guys can be overweight and still have abs. My trainer always said it’s ONLY diet and just focus on building the other areas so I never worked them. He had better genetics in that area so never had to work them.
