  • Chicken tortilla soup and leftover Upbeet smoothie from Jamba Juice for lunch.
  • I don't worry too much about people who do the second meals all the time. If it's working for them, that's great. Personally though, I can't. Hubby and I are both food people, and I love cooking. So we're doing more of an "eat what we want, but less" method. We keep breakfasts and snacks in check, but dinner is adventure…
  • I'm staying on task. It's been doing a lot for me mentally since last week was rough and having the guided breathing and movements helped me tune out for a little while. In looking forward to today's (day 8) as it's go to be a crazy day at work.
  • It depends on my mood. But for snacks this week, I'm doing sliced veggies (carrots and celery), black olives, freeze dried fruit, and beef jerky. I'd love to bring berries or nuts, but work restricts them due to allergies.
  • Exercise isn't a requirement for weight loss. My husband is currently doing no exercise, but counting calories and keeping them in a deficit. You may have to look at how you're spending your time to make adjustments to plan how you wish to eat and definitely to log how you're eating. But the tracking gets easier the more…
  • I'm running 4 days a week (cost is 20 annually for my Zombies Run sub, plus the cost of shoes and other running gear) and light yoga every day (cost of equipment which is a mat and grip shoes and gloves). They're ones I enjoy and I get a sense of achievement from each workout.
  • I can't do plain water most of the time. I just feel it lacking (I grew up on well water, so I'm used to that minerally taste). I buy flavored water or do infusions to give it something extra.
  • Pinterest is my best friend for weekly meal planning. I have a ton of recipes I picked and at the start of each week, I pick 2-3 similar ones for a meal so my other half can then pick what he prefers (without being overwhelmed with 50+ recipes). I also try to do themes, such has meatless Mondays, Soup or Salad days,…
  • Whatever time and situation will be consistent for you. I have regular bathroom activities in the morning, so I weigh myself after them, but before I really start with my morning to-do list (dressing, making lunches for the day, etc.).
  • I weigh daily because I'm a data junkie and just want to see the success (or damages if I was having a rough day with eating), but I only long once a week. It also helps me build the habit of doing it and accepting where I am, even if it's not where I want to be.
  • Completed Motive. I had a rough morning, so doing the first day helped me recenter and relax. This was part of what I want to get out of the next 30 days, along with increasing my literal balance and flexibility.

  • I judge where I am. Bare minimum, I go for a walk and keep it light and try to avoid any about workouts. But I do try to get out since exercise both minimizes symptoms that I really hate (cramping and moodiness) and seems to help shorten my tom.
  • Cook more meals and eat out less. Workout consistently. Reach my goal weight and return to running shape. Participate in short distance running and work towards half-maraton training. Use the power of positivity for my mental health.

  • I'm coming back after a hectic year that started out successful but the craziness caught up and I fell off track. Friend request sent.

  • Sent you a friend request. Let's go on this adventure together.
  • Hubby and I are also losing weight before we get serious about starting a family together. We want to be in shape so we can do everything we need to for our future kiddos.
  • I'm starting over as well. I lost 10 lbs last year, but gained all of it back when the year caught up to me. But I'm getting back on track since I would like to lose the weight I need to before hubby and I start getting serious about starting a family.
  • Look through the menu and guesstimate. There are usually key words that indicate how they are cooked or may be higher calorie. For example, grilled or steamed would be a lighter dish than pan fried; creamy usually means heavier. You can also look for similar dishes at larger chains (Red Lobster, etc.), and use them to give…
  • Friend request sent. Let's do this.
  • That's what I need to here. We have a cold blast (cold for here anyways) going through Houston. Going out is going to take a push, even though I used to run in single digits and lower 10 years ago.
  • Unfortunately because some allergies (peanut primarily) are ones that even low contact can cause severe reactions, even teaching staff having it is a problem. And we were pretty much told that if we are found with it in the room, we will be written up. :/ And for teachers, stuff like that stays on our record permanently.…
  • Water and air for meals and snacks. But that's why I'm going to ask for her to get clarification from corporate, especially since we now have to tell parents of the younger rooms that most of their from-home snacks can't be brought.
  • My reaction when I was told in a meeting. I think it may be the senior-most teacher trying to see how much power she has with a brand new director. Her argument was that there are a lot of kids allergic to strawberries (which there are), but we have so many other allergies in the school that are bigger risks. I'm going to…
  • I'm planning to as a way to stretch after runs and increase my flexibility (and decrease my work stress).
  • Sending a friend request. I have 35 lbs to lose via calorie counting, running, and working an active job (daycare teacher for an infant and early toddler room).
  • My knife set. I'm constantly chopping or slicing in this first week. But there is something soothing about slicing veggies first thing in the morning.
  • I keep a variety of containers when I'm doing meals that I get multiple eatings out of. I have ones that are divided into two or three compartments for ones that have sides that might not mix well. Small ones for snacks or fruit for my waters or dressings, and single compatment ones for things like casseroles or salads. I…
