Just a thought about the touch screen, it is actually very responsive went wet, you can swim with it to a certain depth in water. At the end of the day it comes down to preference.

I also have a vivoactive 3 and I like it alot. The vivoactive 3 doesn't give you as much in-depth analysis about your run but I'm starting out as new so it does all that I need. If you haven't check out the Forerunner 645 then you should, it's their newest model in the series.

I have a Garmin watch and I love it. Not sure how it compares in accuracy with other watches because I've only ever owned a Garmin device. I find the GPS when I'm outside to be pretty accurate. Completed week three of walk/run program, yay!

This week was rough, I had really bad stomach bug. Running didn't feel great but I was able to complete week two of the program. Sometimes I feel silly posting my updates because I don't have even close to half of the mileage being posted on here. I guess eventually I will :)

@juliet3455 Thanks for the input:) I use to run regularly, I would say daily. I didn't really track my runs. You are probably right, I've been running very slowly..not sure if that's affects how much I should be running. I'll look into a walk/run program. The race is 5k, there are four in the series.
