Old thread.

MFP has one. Try it first.

Ten pounds! Took a few weeks to lose it. But, what is life about if you cannot enjoy vacations fully?

Consider doing a lighter exercise than calisthenics until you are more fit. Walking-jogging (work up to jogging using intervals perhaps), swimming/water exercise, cardio machines, resistance machines. Ymcas have a variety of things to do.

Get it checked out by a dr. It should be nothing but it could also wind up being a serious medical issue such as a hernia for instance. The internet folks try to be helpful, but most don't have medical training.
-
The YMCA is wonderful. Most have pools, up to date cardio equipment, walking track, resistance machines, etc. Sign up when they have no activation fees to pay (100.00). The only RIP off I have had to pay with ymca.

Btw, given your start weight, your current weight loss rate seems not bad at all. Unless you are feeling bad (sick, fatigue, light headed, etc) on your chosen plan, I wouldn't worry at this point. Be sure to drink your fluids though.

30% carbs is a moderate low carb "way of eating". The rapid weight loss you are experiencing is likely water weight.
-
Also, the BMI does not consider muscle mass. Muscle weights more than fat.

Money: YMCA membership/towel service, bathing suits, caps, goggles, healthy food, water fitness shoes, gas, new bathroom scale, fluids (bottled water, propel). Time: workouts (lap swimming, water fitness, jacuzzi spa soaks), transportation, watching YouTube videos on swimming, rest.

But... It is hard to do so sometines because the grams at the top is often too small to read it. (I have old eyes). Lol

An error in their favor. Personally I think this kind of misleading labels is done to trick consumers.

It is not a gain of fat. It is water retention. Cut down on eating high sodium foods and drink a sane amount of water. Sources of high sodium foods include fast food, restaurant food, and processed food.
-
On your flip turns, a good source to find out tips and drills to learn them is by going on YouTube. So many great swimming videos on there. Many with showing elite swimmers and coaches.

You really should be asking your dr if it is ok to go on keto with orlistat. I have concerns though as that the medicine and keto will work against each other. Since you read already somewhere (link?) that it is a bad idea to combine the keto diet with orlistat, I am not sure why you would even want to do this? Be safe and…

At a goal of losing 150 pounds, I would start out at 2 pounds a week. Unless your dr has a different goal in mind. You can do this.

Both too much protein and too much fat can slow down digestion which can cause constipation. Slows stomach emptying and the bowel transmit times. Too much insoluble fiber can also cause these issues. Dehydration can also cause digestion issues. You may want to dial back on some of your macros. It really is about all things…

Too much protein can cause dehydration and constipation issues (slow bowels).

Fyi: Many vegetables that have been frozen have more nutrition than their fresh veggie counterparts.

Consuming green smoothies solely for days on end to "detox" or "remove allergens" is what I think a lot of us have concerns about. What you plan to do is really a "strict food restriction nutrition/diet plan" rather than a "detox" you have made up your mind on. Having a green smoothie as long as you consume them as part of…

Most of the weight you loss when you fell off the wagon is from fluid retention. Did you eat a lot of processed foods and fast food? Drinking a sensible/same amount water to flush out excess sodium works for me. I also eat more potassium rich foods when I retain too much water. Just get back on board with logging your food…

Or eat lots of sodium high foods? Processed foods and fast foods items to often are loaded with sodium.

I would choose going MFP because you can ease your way into eating less meat and eating more carbs. An abrupt change might cause you more issues. Try to select from healthier carbs; fruits, veggies, and complex carbs (add them slowly). STAY WITHIN YOUR MFP calorie target. If you have do have water gain, be sure to continue…

Curious here. Are you doing any cardio excercise? You only mention weight/resistance training. In the long run, exercising while eating sensibly is what gets you fit and healthy in the end, and can add many good years to your life. Use it or lose it.
-
Just get back to your diet (get back on the wagon). Most of the weight gain is probably water retention. Hugs

You may be constipated. Did you eat too much insoluble fiber, eating not enough fiber, eating too much fat, too much dairy or too much protein. These can slow digestion down. How is your sodium intake? If high it could be fluid retention? Dehydration also could be involved if you are not drinking enough fluids. You may…

Swimming laps is great excercise for burning calories, and getting fit. I swim almost every day, and I am losing weight and I am building a conditioned toned body. I mix it up with aqua fitness classes also on some days. If you love swimming, then that is the best excercise for you. Go for it!

Could easily be water retention. Exercising a lot can cause water retention. Did you gain weight?

These concerns are best addressed by your health care team (PCP, medical care specialists, mental health clinicians, eating disorder specialists etc. ) A number of issues could be going on and need to be ruled out. Going online here is not the best way to get the answers you need.
