Another thing to watch out for is excess sodium (if not doing keto), and with fast food, restaurant meals, processed snack foods (too much hidden sodium and fat). Even exercising too hard can stall or slow weight loss (increases hormone cortisol). That chart sent early on the thread covers this topic well.

Swimming is great for folks with joint problems. Other options for folks with joint issues are recumbant bikes and recumbant ellipticals.

1. A visit to a great casino buffet dinner. 2. Liquid calories like non diet sodas, sport drinks, juices, etc. 3. Foods with excess sugar in them. ( I limit and log my sugary treats). 4. Cheesecake! Other high calorie desserts. 5. High fat meats. 6. Foods with trans fats. 7. I try to limit high sodium/calorie foods. Salty…

I too also watch YouTube videos for lessons/tutorials and swim tips etc. Great resource for all swimmers.

For some folks, one meal a day is too strict for health's sake. People with certain medical issues find intermittent fasting can excaberate their symptoms.

Keep doing cardio. It is good for so many things like digestion/regularity, boost endorphins/lessens depression and anxiety, burn calories/lose weight, heart health, better sleep, etc. Personally, cardio excercise helps me lose weight. Cross training with cardio and weight resistance is a good combo. Diversifying your…

Do you excercise? If not, consider it because if you burn more calories you can eat more calories. You still need to count calories you eat and approximately burn in activity. I haven't seen any mention of excercise in your posts or on the thread for that matter.

Wow! The sad thing is that you put yourself on a severe caloric restriction like that, when you didn't really need to. Then suffered a serious medical issue.

You look great in the before and also the after photos. At 117 you dont look like you needed a strict diet like keto. But the keto diet does help with seizures for many folks. Have you thought of or tried trying CBD oil for your seizures?

For the full feeling you seek, try adding more vegetables. Your fat intake levels might also need some adjusting either up or down. Fat increases calories but also increases satiety.

Boost, Ensure, Glucerna. Nuts. Hummis/cheese with crackers. Instant breakfast. Dark chocolate.

I agree except for the stabbing part. The "man" should have apologized. Instead he added an insult to the first insult.

You probably dont see any progress "lookswise" because you have only been making changes for three weeks. Very short amount of time. You likely will see your progress with the scale first. Now if the scale hasn't budged yet you have several possibilities of why that could be happening: 1. Your food intake:(what and how…

I find keeping my diary public to keep me honest and on the wagon. Plus I think it could help others to see how the people use the food diary to track their food intake. I have yet to be judged on my diary. (MFP has a lot of nice people all with similar goals)But if it happens, I would not hesitate to report it and block…

That 800 bucks a month is a lot of money. Yikes.

Check your local ymcas. The membership costs are affordable, and scholarships are available to low income people/households. The ymcas have so many options from water activities ( pool/hot tub jacuzzi /steam room/dry sauna), to excercise and sports activities.

Ask dr again to refer you to a cardiologist. Too many woman have died from drs ignoring their heart complaints. Get a second opinion if your dr does not get you referred to a cardiologist. You have to advocate for yourself on this.

You probably need to see a cardiologist. Hugs

Darigold Refuel Chocolate: 1 bottle is two servings(8oz). But on the label they say 20g per bottle (16oz per bottle). Kind of misleading, like comparing apples to oranges. A half bottle(8 oz) has 10g protein.

Decades ago I lost a lot of weight on a diet and excercise regimen, and I ended up having to get my gallbladder removed. Still, a small price to pay for better health and fitness.

Well.... a "serving" of Ben & Jerry's Tonight Dough Ice Cream is 1/2 cup (4 oz); I found this out the other day. *It tasted awesome.

Eight pounds of weight loss is pretty good, unless you are skinny already. Nice!

I swim but after watching the "monsters inside me" TV show, I decided to avoid open water swimming.

I love spotify premium. You can select playlists or build your own.

Wake up earlier, take meds. Then wait the amount of time suggested by your dr or pharmacist (1 hr). You really need to eat before a workout to fuel your body it seems to me. I know I do or I have the same issues you have described. I bonk. I try to eat my breakfast about two hrs before I swim. After a workout I eat a small…
