Well I am officially back in the OMAD Club. Yesterday and today both went incredibly well. I have to admit my wife found and prepared tonight's dinner recipe, and it was stupendous!! (I had seconds on the wraps because they contain all of my favorite things.^^) I am starting to look for "no-cook" OMADs that I can use when…

I have been slack this past week as far as measuring/counting calories until today. I have been heavily involved in a project at work which just ended, but took up every waking hour since last Wednesday. It feels so great to have it behind me though. I ate atrociously throughout the week. I was working 16-18 hours a day,…

I haven't been keeping up in here due to work being unruly this past week. So, a quick update today because I hit 263 when I weighed this morning. That's 40 lbs. since January 1st. I was stoked to have a splurge day (and I have done one each week for the past two.) This seems like a good opportunity. I have already eaten…

Bob you are an inspiration to me! I am going to eat some donut holes (jelly filled) on my next splurge day, I think. Maybe tomorrow...

Welcome to OMAD Miranda. Great start!

Hey Brad! I do One Meal A Day as well. (Most there are 23:1, but I am more 21:3 because I cannot eat all of my calories in an hour.) I have been doing IF for the past couple of months with a 1500 cal/day goal. You should join the OMAD Revolution group on the site. Super helpful folks there!

I usually take between 2-3 hours from tasting the first spoon while cooking until finishing my dessert. I can't eat all of my calories in an hour, or I will get super drowsy an hour later. Loving to savor the flavor!!

I love shrimp and grits! Great progress and keep it up!

Meh, I wish I had read this before I ate... :'( I did end up having gumbo and red beans & rice (along with some tasty grouper and waayy too much crusty french bread!) There's always tomorrow for Karahai Lamb Palak and Tandoori Pratha. I can almost taste the chutney. Happy Friday!!

I hear you. My family are pretty boring eaters (compared to me). These past 6 weeks have been pretty tough for them to adjust to as far as my new schedule goes. They are finally on board with it, I think. In other news, I was in Nashville at another office yesterday, and a coworker who hadn't seen me since before the…

Hey Sean. Welcome to OMAD and the group! Super helpful folks here, so don't be shy if you have questions.

Now I feel like a total slacker... Sunny had a journal up the first day. Way to blow the curve... :p

Welcome to OMAD Sunny!

Agreed. Graham, you take the best food pics. I was looking at some I had and I am ashamed. :( Your plating is superb.^^

I just know those are two of my favorite foods... I am gettin some.^^

I drink water, black coffee, and every once in awhile a Coke Zero. I don't eat or drink any calories outside my window. I did plan a day of 2MAD when I was visiting family, but other than that I have been fairly OCD about weighing and sticking to it. I want to see how powerful this plan is. So far I have been pretty…

One more and then I really have to get back to work... Grilled pork chops, baked potato, and a salad (guess those were pretty obvious...) I did a garlic citrus glaze for the chops that turned out pretty amazing though. One other thing I have learned through OMAD is that I love to cook. I never really tried it before, but I…

So a typical meal for me: Big ol' Steak (I really try to stay away from beef, but mmmm... Steak is good.) (I believe that was around 16oz.) Stuffed Portabella (Seconds on that.) Parmesan Potato Stacks (Seconds there too...)

Edamame pasta? Why did I not know this was a thing? I need it in my life.

Hiya Chelly and welcome to the group.^^

I will second the calorie dense idea. When I first began OMAD, I was not eating enough calories per meal, which caused me to get hungry before my window the following day. 600-900 calories seems low to sustain. I do that every once in awhile, but I try to get 1100-1200 nutritious calories in/day and then treat myself to a…

Welcome to OMAD Ham234! This way of eating is the easiest/most effective that I have tried.

I found vaping really useful when quitting. Only time I quit smoking where I didn't gain weight. Your mileage, of course, may vary. Bottom line is you can do it if you want it badly enough. Good luck!

I have been eating OMAD (One Meal A Day) for the past 5 weeks. This was initiated more about my curiosity for IF than my shedule, but I do find I have much more free time during the day now. Depending on your calorie goals, you may find OMAD not suitable for you. I do 1500 calories/day and cannot fit much more food in my…

The Skinnylicious menu is the only way for me to enjoy The Cheesecake Factory. I love the Ahi Tuna Salad and the Steak Medallions.

Had this last night for the first time... I don't even miss Ben & Jerry's (much)...

I had a little trouble at first adjusting to drinking my coffee black. I then found that cold brewed coffee is amazing, and now I don't think I could ever go back to cream/sugar.
-
I transitioned from 4:3 to OMAD about 3 weeks ago and I find it to fit really well with my schedule. I am still new to IF in general, but I love not having to plan days around eating 2-3 meals. I get a lot more done at work as well. Great news on your AC1 and welcome to the group!

Hi Mia. Welcome to the group!

Happy Birthday Allison! 42 years old and down 24 pounds since the first of the year.
