  • This. I was quite busty (40D or DD depending on the bra brand) for my height, when I was heavier. Now, if it is not chilly ;) and I don't plan on running, I can go bra-less with no problems.
  • I changed it back to "Sedentary" on MFP and hope this makes a difference. I don't have it set to anything on the Fitbit site, because I have the amount of calories I get each day fixed. I don't want Fitbit making any assumptions either. (I am slowly increasing my calories to the maintenance level. I base my calorie burn…
  • That made me actually LOL! I'm still chuckling as I key this.
  • That made me laugh. I thought, "That would be like someone posting, 'I went to the store today.' and a number of people then clicking on the 'Woo'. They dislike that the person went to the store?" Oh well, these are the little things that keep life interesting.
  • It is interesting to me when I see that someone (myself included) has received these "Woo" things when they are posting about something that is happening or has happened to them. Are the people that tick "Woo" doing so because they don't believe the post? They're calling the person a liar? They don't agree with the post?…
  • I have negative calorie adjustment turned off and MFP still adds and subtracts calories over the course of the day. It is frustrating, but I don't eat the exercise calories it give me M-Th and only use a portion of them F-Su so I am not overly concerned. I don't like that it anticipates my future calorie burn based on what…
  • I wish there was a better "forum" for this here. Once threads get to have thousands of posts, individuals just get lost imo. Anyway, the hardest thing for me to do is "get up and move" when all I want to do is pull the covers over my head, and wish I could turn myself off and put myself away until the chemicals balance…
  • Good points.
  • In the US, food manufacturers are allowed to put zero calories on anything that has less than 5 calories per serving, but the only thing that really has only 0 calories is water. As a general rule most things that say zero calories have around 4 and less than 5 calories.

  • I thought the topic question was: "Anyone here weigh once a month or less?" That is what I thought the responses would be about.
  • I meant since March 16th.
  • I have been weighing once a month since April 16th for exactly this reason. I still anticipate with dread weigh in day (1st or last Friday of the month, depending on where it lands date-wise, first thing in the morning after the mandatory bathroom trip) but this way I weigh in before the weekend starts, which is when I eat…
  • Start small. Change one thing at a time. The first thing I remember focusing on was trying to get more protein into my daily intake. Looking at my macros on MFP, I noticed I was really heavy on the carbs and fat. So, I tried to find ways to increase my protein intake. Then, I switched sugar (on the goals) out so I could…
  • Thanks for turning me on to these. I found them. Tried them. Loved them. They are now my goto. (I bought all the varieties the store had.) Do you know if they freeze well?
  • While I understand that for health or religious reasons, many people have no choice but to go non-dairy, I have to agree with your husband, so far every non-dairy flavor I have tried tastes exactly the same: frozen, artificial sweet. Nothing else. Kroger has a brand, Simple Truth, Low Cow, and the Lemon Cake is so good,…
  • I definitely will remember this the next time I am waffling about eating what I preplanned. Tough love! B)
  • Thank you all for your replies. This is closest to my situation. This gives me food (ha ha) for thought.
  • Haven't read through all of the posts, but wondered about those I saw that seemed to be making judgements. Why are they reading this thread, since it says what it is about in the title. They remind me of those people that respond to questions on Amazon with, "I don't know. I don't have that product." Do they feel they must…
  • It's not necessarily that the entries on MFP were done incorrectly. Manufacturers and "official" databases tweek information all the time. Recipes and ingredients are changed or amounts modified. Cane sugar is changed to corn syrup and then to sucralose as an example. Yogurt containers that once held 8 ounces but now hold…
  • I should add that I eat balanced during the week (Mon-Thurs) and have 300 calories/day allotted for my "end of the day treat". It is almost always, unsalted, whole, fancy cashews (28g) and animal crackers (28g) that I eat and savor one at a time. It's Fri-Sun when I go off the rails, although I do try to eat at least one…
  • Wow, I didn't even know they had dairy ones, since all they sell in my area are the non-dairy ones. Okay, I'll try again. I do like the idea of sitting down with a pint and binge watching my favorite show(s). I feel just like a regular person. :D B)
  • I would say, be back in your car by 7:30am at the latest. Today, it is supposed to be 110 here, and the lowest will be 79. I am starting no later than 5am and have cut back my 3 hour hikes to 2 hours. (Sucks because to try new trails (and get a great calorie burn) I need that extra hour, but not worth being helicoptered…
  • Same here. (Come from a long line of short, "fluffy" women and tall athletic men. The guys that become overweight, lose quickly and evenly. The ladies get to look like bowling pins while losing slowly. :/ ) Got the, "Don't lose anymore weight. You're starting to look gaunt." at Easter from the fam. According to the…
  • Woo, hoo; it's the weekend! Will it be Little Caesar's and wine, nachos and Modelos or Chinese Takeaway and plum wine? I've got the calories so what do I have the feels for tonight...
  • Believe it or not, I have several different types of snack foods in my house right now. The ice cream cups have been there so long, ice crystals are forming on the surfaces. In the past, I would have devoured everything before it was even in the house 6 hours. The difference this time around? I am not on a starvation diet.…
  • Thus my initial disappointment. Glad I was open-minded in the end o:)
  • It was meant to be tongue in cheek. When I realized I didn't have the calories to have the wrap I wanted, I was disappointed and resigned to flavorless-ness. I was quite pleasantly surprised at how tasty the result was.
  • I am still in the weight loss phase of my journey and feel like I can't sit down or stop moving between the hours of 5am and 6pm. At my age, height, weight, and gender (plus genetics), it takes a lot of effort for me to burn calories. I am hoping as I rebuild the muscle I lost while slacking off (and binge eating) for…
  • For my height, I was what some might call "zaftig" But, here, in comparison, in my mind, I just looked lazy.
  • It may also be regional (or community) specific. Here, it is very rare to see anyone of any race (it's relatively diverse) that is overweight much less obese. If they are, they apparently don't leave the house. The neighborhoods are also designed to encourage walking, running, biking and hiking. Yoga pants, running shoes…
