Also, in the OP context of "Cheat meal" you are only cheating yourself. Resist the urge to eat junk. You will get over the cravings and urges.

You can do it. Be selfish about it too. I never thought I would hit my goal weight but I have surpassed it forcing myself to set a new goal.

It’s so much fun to interact that way with my kids too. I didn’t want to be that parent that has to take a seat because of not being healthy.

I stopped eating junk food and sweets which I consider a sacrifice as I have a sweet tooth. But I’m way better in the end for giving that up.

Guns are useless unless you train with them. Knives are effective but also useless unless you train with them. Study martial arts. Learn about pre incident indicators and avoid the situation all together. “The Gift Of Fear” is an amazing book.

Try something and if I doesn’t work try something else. Best of all stick with it. Most of the challenge is mindset.

Eating is a challenge. I love food so much. I have been doing Whole 30 and I feel amazing. Morning I try and eat high fiber, low carbs. Lunch and dinner are tons of lean protein and again low carbs. I stay away from added sugar and sweeteners. Also avoid fried and processed foods.

I take Metformin. My A1C was at 11% and I had serious symptoms. I am 20 days into Whole30 and it has changed my life. I have lost 20lbs from 1/1/18 and feel amazing. I plan on keeping most of these eating habits once I’m done with Whole30. I think it’s amazing! Also the diabetic symptoms are gone too. I get retested next…

August is a pretty good time frame. You should have no trouble getting there if you are dedicated.

Just keep at it. Really watch what you eat. Eat right and portion control. It will do you wonders.

My A1C was 11% in December. I started Whole 30 on January 1st and have lost 20lbs already. I get tested in a few weeks again so we shall see. You can do it. My wife and I now meal prep with healthy foods and proper portions. Just keep at it!
