I decided to come back so I can get back in control and exceed my initial goal. I used to log daily and stopped for a few months. I am looking for more friends who I can help keep motivated and look for motivation as well. Feel free to add me!

I was eating TONS of chicken. Lean protein and well seasoned. My wife and I would find recipes online and try them. MY favs was lemon garlic chicken and a great marinara chicken. sometimes It would just be simply seasoned chicken. And the chicken was skinless and mostly breast.

I noticed that. My back muscles were getting sore. I now stick to larger quantities of lower calorie foods. I do eat some tasty foods but I now plan them to not completely derail progress. I feel great and I continue to lose weight.

That was the goal. Now it’s maintainence. You are correct. Under 6 is ideal. 6-7 is a manageable range and is pre diabetes but is acceptable. Above 7 is diabetic range and above 9 is dangerous.

The symptoms sucked. They have completely disappeared. I’m going to make sure I do what I need to do to not go back there.

You know what. That is exactly what I am doing. You read my mind. I set a new goal. Recalculated my calorie needs and brought out my determined mindset. Thanks for the advice!

My issue is the snowball effect. I let myself have something then I just go to town. I do great when I challenge myself because I am determined when I want to be.

I am aware of that but my best progress was when I was following Paleo. I suppose it kept me away from the high carbs and sugar. Plus I tend to eat way too much when I really like something. Definitely a control issue.

I just love food too much. I love all the things I shouldn’t eat. However, it has been about 5 months without drinking soda so I’ll take that win any day!

The advantage of working for a fitness company (Bowflex) is our employee Gym. It includes locker rooms and showers. Plus my desk is about 100ft from the entry of the gym so I may pop in there between projects for a little lifting and some cardio on lunch.

I preach like it's the gospel. If you don't like it don't listen. If I can be part of changing at least one person's life then it is worth it! So far my brother in law and his wife made the change to Paleo after asking me about my huge success. I will spread the word! CAN I GET AN AMEN!
