What do you mean by a tree?

I use the S Health tracker on my samsung smartwatch. I was training legs today so was doing things like weighted squats, hip thrusts, etc for around 60 minutes with 8-10 mins of HIIT at the end and it gave me that number.

I think my problem was I used to use the TDEE method based off numbers I got from iifym.com. I would log those into MFP but did not understand it already accounted for exercise calories and was probably not burning what was calculated. I didn't know what algorithm that MFP uses, but now I see it's okay to eat back the…

I never thought MFP was trying to trick me, I just didn't understand that concept till now. But thank you, I'll make sure to eat my calories back. I was just under the impression you weren't supposed to eat what you burn/lose. That would actually explain a lot with what's going on with me lately. Thank you
-
That helps actually, thank you. I had just misunderstood the way MFP works. Thank you very much for this explanation
-
Might sound like a dumb question but how do you lose weight if you eat the calories you burn from exercise?
-
Monistat has a really good chafing gel for $5. I keep the bottle with me during the day, but I rarely have to reapply. Try that! It lasted all day when I worked outside in the hot summer with shorts on

1300 is losing 1lb a week

The quick ads are items from my campus cafe. The calories are posted next to the foods on the menu, but they're just not in the MFP database sometimes

I find whenever I start to binge is because I'm bored or just doing nothing. Ask yourself if youre really bored or if you want something to do. I'll also drink some tea if I'm starting to want to binge as the hot water makes you feel like you're full. I would also recommend just starting to cut down a little at a time. If…

Same with me! I was hoping I wasn't the only one. Sometimes I have to wait a few days after my period ends
-
Alright, thank you. I'll try not to let it bother me so much. I'll wait about a week and then try again. I do notice my clothes fitting looser and some muscle definition so hopefully somethings working
-
Im currently on my monthly but I wasn't sure if that was it. I'll try to increase my water intake too. Thank you for the advice
-
Thank you for your actual advice. Everyone is caught up about the spot reducing comment so I'm really glad for your advice. I'll see if I can invest in some spanx

I'm just using the rice to be a side of my main meal. I don't even eat that much rice when I do eat it, so the small portion doesn't seem too sad to me
-
Thank you! That's a good way to think about it
-
Thanks everyone! Just heard too many opinions from people about white rice being bad

I save cardio for the end of my workouts so I tend to just sprint on a treadmill on/off to just get it out the way quicker. I also have tried HIIT which I like, but I feel like I work harder on the treadmill (probably because I'm out of breath quicker). I also tried cycling but its not my cup of tea. And I don't really…

It's a process! Also I would recommend buying a food scale. And as far as weighing yourself, I find the best time to be before you've eaten in the morning. Weighing yourself at the end of the day isn't accurate and you the scale can read 5 pounds heavier than you actually are. Good luck!
-
It might just take more time before you see results on the scale. I didn't start seeing the scale change until a few weeks into my journey. Keep track of how your body is changing visibly or how your clothes are fitting now! If all else fails, try tweaking how much youre eating or track more closely. You might be eating…

Thank you everyone!

My days aren't too active outside the gym as I'm usually sitting at a desk doing my office/school work. What would you recommend I do given that?
-
5'2 and 158 pounds. Hoping to drop down to 140 before May 2018. Feel free to add me!
-
Definitely a big fan of summer(when it isnt disgusting out)
-
Thank you! I have a pair of lifting shoes I always wear for my leg days so atleast I'm on the right track there
-
Woops my bad lol, I meant 85% of your heaviest weight but I worded it weird. But thank you!
-
When you say 85% of your max, do you mean the heaviest weight you can lift?
-
.
-
Thank you! I was just curious on the need of the belts, but I'll focus more on building my form and strength before I worry about that
-
I've just heard they're supposed to help protect your back/knees when doing heavy lifts, but I just didn't know what that amount was supposed to be
