Your before and after pictures are AMAZING! :drinker:

nice! looks great!

I found going to http://www.mybodygallery.com/ really helpful. You can look at real women that are the same height as you at different weights. You can even select a particular body type. Good luck.

Love your legs! They look so amazing and strong too!
-
I eat it every single day too! I feel deprived without it.
-
very cool!
-
wow you have completely changed your body type. The difference is amazing

I am starting to realize the same thing. If it takes me a year to get to goal that is almost better than if it takes less because it means that I have kept the other weight off for at least that long. And the longer you keep the weight off, the more likely you are to hit a new normal for your body.

So awesome! You look really healthy. Congrats!

I got a litle drunk on my success about a month ago and unfortunately it coincided with mini-chocolate bar week - better known as Halloween. I have managed to pull myself out of it though and am back on track and more motivated that ever. It isn't always easy to figure out what made the difference for me. But I think what…

Yup me too. Please add me. Thanks

There is an advice post going on now that might help you http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/210675-best-advice-ever I would say that you can lose the weight if you are motivated enough and are willing to work hard at it. Following the MFP plan has worked for alot of people.

Oh I thought of something else. Find some reliable friends to exercise with. It makes it so much easier to stick to it.
-
I think this is really true. The difference between this time for me and other times is that I have been able to accept this and get back on track. Also, You have to find a way to do this and still enjoy your life. If it is too extreme you are not going to stick with it.

I had some cheese yesterday and it tasted like a salt lick to me. Not sure if it was an isolated incident though. The weird thing is that I haven't cut cheese from my diet at all, I just stay within my calories.

wow, big change. You must be thrilled!

I am 5'9 and a half and right now my goal weight is 160. I found it very helpful to look at http://www.mybodygallery.com to try and figure out what the right weight for me would be. It shows pictures of real women. You can pick your height and then different weights. You can also pick specific body types (apple, pear,…

I also find this one of the harder things to do. However I think this is where the 80/20 rule comes in. If you eat well 80% of the time and try to moderate the damage the rest of the 20%, you will not be set back too much. Enjoy the treat. Taste every bite by eating slowly and concetrate on it. Stop when satisfied. And…

Good indoor activities: 1) swimming (alot of the pools offer dropin swim training a couple of time a week. You can be at just about any level and it is a great 1hr workout) 2) indoor soccer through EDSA (even though it is mid-season lots of teams need additional players) 3)skating - love going for a skate at one of the…

I guess this post isn't exactly true anymore. Happy first snow day everyone!

Never thought of roasting brocolli but now I really want to try it!

If all your friends weigh 200 lbs or more, they may have come to think of that weight as "normal" and therefore you do look ridiculously skinny to them - no jealously involved. My boss, who I would consider to be at her ideal weight, went to Singapore and when she tried on clothes, she was told by the salesperson that they…

Huge difference! Congrats

I don't know if it is a Canadian store only but I love Ricki's for pants, especially office wear. The have most of their pants in 3 lengths (petite, regular, tall) and some of them in extra long. The tall ones work great for me since I don't wear heels.

Your bravery brought tears to my eyes. Awesome job!

I'm 5'9.5" and I usually avoid heels except for dress up occasions. BUT I have been thinking that I should change that and rock some cute shoes even if it is painful.

Hi - Good for you for getting started! It really is a one day at a time kind of process. MFP really can provide you with the tools you need to lose weight. That's what it has done for me. I didn't really have a firm grasp on how calorie rich foods were and I used to binge terribly. Now I am really aware of how many…

I find it helpful to remind myself of everything I didn't like about being heavier (e.g. feeling like a failure, being tired alot, no motivation, unenthusiastic, physically weaker) and everything that has been going well since I started my journey (e.g. feeling like I am in control, more energy, more enthusiasm, greater…

It took almost 20 lbs before people started to notice but now at 30lbs just about everyone I know has commented when they see me.
