My most noticable one recently is my portion sizes. They've become so much smaller over time without me even realising it. I had a steak today for the first time in aaaages. I'd bought 2 x 8oz steaks thinking my hubby and I would eat them one day when the kids are staying at their grandparents'. But we felt like having…

When I first started this journey I thought I would lose lots of weight quickly by restricting myself and exercising lots, and was disappointed when it didn't work out like that. Now I appreciate that slow and steady is the key to consistent and sustainable weight loss.

I've been steadily losing weight for around 3 months, having lost around 13lb since then. Today, I had my very first "have you lost weight?" comment from a friend I see almost every day (she's a mum I see at the school gate when dropping the kids off) and it made my day! :)

She says things like: "I'd kill to look like…

One you stop expecting huge losses you start to focus on the long term and stop losing…

I'm 5'2 and currently weigh 153lb. I was 164lb 12 weeks ago so I'm really happy with progress so far :) My goal at the moment is 136lb because that would put me in the "normal" range for BMI. I'm not hugely stuck on that number though, I'm more in it for feeling fitter and healthier so that's my main goal. The numbers…

absolutely great that it's helped you so much. I wonder though, is logging still helpful or do you do it more out of habit now? I only ask because I've been doing this for around 70 days now and I'm feeling already like I'm equipped with the knowledge and habits to carry on without the need to keep logging everything. I do…
