  • Smoked Salmon & light soft cheese bagel thin with tomato & cucumber The evening before bake some sliced tomatoes and sliced mushrooms in a little olive oil, salt, pepper, Italian herbs, chilli flakes if you like a kick. Cook some lean sausages/veggie sausages and chop them up in a bowl with the tomatoes and mushrooms and…
  • I usually have 40g large porridge oats and 200ml alternative milk (usually unsweetened Almond or coconut as they are low on calories). Toppings might be; Nutty bananas; Chopped Banana, almond butter and maple agave added once porridge is served Apple pie; small diced or grated apple cooked in with oats and a sprinkle of…
  • Mine childhood foods are now my comfort food. I’m from UK. Corned Beef Hash: tinned corned beef, mash potato, mash carrots, tinned garden peas, cheese, sliced tomato, HP brown sauce. My version contains non-traditional items (carrots & peas) but I did this once as a child in cookery class to sneak veggies in a meal and…
  • I’m looking forward to watching this. Can I ask though, does it include any scenes from the meat industry? I’d like to watch it with my bloke who has been veggie for 30 years and I know he will stop watching if it shows this stuff
  • I was looking into this recently. Unsure if I will move to Keto yet as eat a lot of vegetarian food usually, but what are you changing your nutritional MFP figures to?
  • Not creating a dam in the bath when I sit in it...the water is starting to flow around the gap my former fat *kitten* filled
  • I’d love to know this. I have always worn DM’s rather than heels in the past and have low calf muscles. Along with that I carry most of my weight on my bottom half and get swollen ankles at the first sight of sun or if flying. A colleague told me that chunky ankles / swollen ankles tends to be a genetic thing so I suspect…
  • My favourite is Oppo Colombian chocolate. Not sure if worldwide but found in the UK. I just googled low fat ice cream (couldn’t remember the name of my fave) and it seems some UK supermarkets are now doing their own versions as well. Salted caramel seems to be the most common
  • I originally lost 7st in 9 months on Slimming World back in 2010. It was my first time losing weight and it just fell off me. My weight crept up slowly and in 2013 I was diagnosed with under active thyroid. (In no way am I saying this is linked btw, I’m not a health professional and no health professional has ever given me…
  • Stunning in all of your pictures. Well done on your achievements so far, you look spectacular.
  • I might be way off here, but I would have thought that most recipes using ‘cups’ shouldn’t matter what underlying measurement is involved as long as you stick to the same ‘cup’ size type measurement for your location (I.e.dont mix and match). Surely this is because you are producing something using volume rather than…
  • I eat meat but my veggie bloke wants to eat vegan 3 times a week so I am joining him (since I make most meals) Todays is vegan day #1; Breakfast (500 cals: A large bowl of ‘carrot cake’ oatmeal (with coconut milk, dried fruit and walnuts) Lunch (300 cals): A weight watchers wrap with ‘Oumph’ vegan pulled pork and salad…
  • YOU....LOOK....AMAZING! Well done on a wonderful achievement. It’s a shame that some of us are that bit older before we actually get our heads into the right mindset to do this (I am early 40’s). We waste so much of our younger life eating our feelings and then feeling down about missing out on opportunities or…
  • Brilliant before and after photos, well done. You seem to have a similar shape to my before photos so it is really inspiring to see what I might also achieve eventually. Amazing job!
  • I love this post
  • Yaaay I know how one-derful that image is (I reached it at beginning of December only to go off the rails and put 10lb back on 😔) I am hoping to see that number again during February if possible. Keep it up, you have done amazing!
  • At my biggest on the left I was 282lb, on the right I am 217lb. Would like to lose another 30-50lb during 2019 if possible with eventual goal being 154lb. But hey....I’ll take whatever losses I can get!
  • Hey, I’m in the UK. I had a full on crying/shaking episode with the general nurse at my GP practice during my ‘3 year check up’. She referred me to a women’s health specialist at my surgery and I got referred for therapy from there. It was very cathartic once I managed to talk about stuff. Ask your GP if they have anyone…
  • I lost 50lb in 2018. Would love to lose another 70lb if possible during 2019. Would like to be tagged into any sort of motivational group you set up please. Thanks!
  • I make larger amounts of roast dinners so I have something for another day. No problem about veg lasting a few days then ‘ping!’ Nuke it in the microwave. Have you thought about an electric steamer...you could technically steam your veg in your room along with chicken or fish (subject to smells I suppose)
  • I have the macro split that MFP initially designated which is 50/30/20 (carb/fat/protein) Why not try this for now until you find your feet with the vegan proteins that work for you. Let’s face it, it’s not going to negatively affect your weight loss and you might find that some days you get 30 protein. You can then review…
  • Are you UK based? There are plenty of vegan substitutes going around in major UK supermarkets that are fantastic.
  • I’d also say buy small cans of cannellini, kidney or butter beans. Great fibre content. You can slightly smash them with back of fork and add the tuna and some low fat salad dressing
  • I am guessing you are buying pre-made couscous. In the uk they sell small pots of dried flavoured couscous/pasta/rice that you just add boiling water to and leave for 5 mins or so. Have you checked the dried food aisle of your supermarket for anything similar?
  • @Visage999 blimey you definitely have a resemblance to a brunette Gwyneth Paltrow in that close up pic
  • Fabulous photos showing the changes. Looking at your ‘after’ photos, you look like a naturally slim person and it is easy to look at people with your figure and be envious that you ‘have it easy’ without realising that you have experienced the same weight and food issues many of us do, and that it has taken true…
  • There are honestly some fantastic vegan blogs out there. I spend ages trawling through them. If you have never heard of Jackfruit before, you are gonna love its versatility in vegan food. Rather than give you recipes (too many to write!) my favourite blogs are: https://itdoesnttastelikechicken.com/recipes/…
  • You could maybe look into using powdered peanut butter to save more calories and a little goes a long way. If you are in the UK, ALDI is selling it this week and I am sure it is £1-2 cheaper than Sainsburys (never bought it before now because of cost)
