Longer days and more active at the new job. 3000-3200 on work days, 2500-2800 off days, 3500ish on pedaling days.

I meal prep for 3 days and reheat at work. Slicing and searing is the only way that I found that allows me to eat quickly and reheat without the steak drying out.

It's cooked med/rare, sliced and then seared both sides. Not cooked well done LOL.

Started a new job this week. More standing and moving around vs sitting behind a desk. Eating 2500-2600 a day now and feeling really good.

Thanks @SummerSkier I feel like I have been making progress since I first posted this. It's tough to change gears. This time last year I was eating 1200 calories a day. A lot has changed since then....

I've switched some protein out for carbs and haven't had the drained feeling in a while. 25F/45C/30P or there abouts, still 2200-2300 calories. Seems like I am back to maintaining as well (2lbs less than I was before though).

I threw in a few days at 2500, but consistently I am full at 2200. My ride days are a mess, 2800-3200, but I am burning 1500-2500 while riding. I'm going to hold this pattern for another 3 weeks and see where I am.

I made some sweet potato fries today in coconut oil. Should be good for an extra 300 or so.

Almost been a week, it seems like my weight has leveled out in the 142-143 range, but too soon to really tell. I am up to 3200ish on ride days (still feeling great), but struggling to eat more than 2200 on off days. Pretty much eat every 2 hours and never feel hungry as it is. I have already switched to more calorie dense…

I am no where near that concerned.

4 or 5% Greek yogurt, a mashed banana, some peanut butter, and a little cocoa powder. Mix and freeze about 2-3 hours before you want to eat it. I make it every night. Could go with low fat to save calories, it freezes a little faster.

Increased carbs a bit, and decreased protein. Bumped up calories too. I will try this for the next week or two.

I've just been winging it and got into a routine. I pretty much eat the same stuff everyday. I swap out chicken for beef or fish 1 or 2 times a week, stuff like that. There just seems to be a lot of protein in what I enjoy eating. Every morning starts with Kodiak cakes, I will never give them up. The kodiak cakes and…

I think that someones maintenance number can be way off when compared to someone else. It depends on how efficient your body is and how much you do during the day. One of my friends that I bike with logs what he eats. Hes about my age and height, 20lbs or so heavier than me (mostly muscle). He has an active job and hits…

2200 was maintaining me, its not a logging error or anything, I am meticulous with my food. I weigh and log EVERYTHING. How much do you weigh? I don't lift, and don't do much moving around at work.

I don't really like nuts that much, though I do eat them sometimes.
-
That's quite a bit less than I have been eating. I am closer to 1.3g/lb

Interesting, never heard of NEAT before. Shooting for 2400 calories for the next week (plus ride calories, though I probably wont get much time on the bike this week with rain and work). What sort of macro split do you shoot for while maintaining? Does it matter more or less than while losing?

I must be burning more than I was, because I held my weight for nearly 3 months, and then suddenly dropped 3lbs, didn't change anything.

I drink a lot of water. 100oz bottle a day, sometimes more. When I ride I have another 50oz with me that I will usually drink about 30-40 of. Lately I have been making myself stop drinking around 9pm so I don't have to wake up and hit the bathroom, otherwise I would drink more.

100 calories/hour is about all that I can eat while riding without feeling like I am eating too much (or feeling sick). Most of my rides are 3-4 hours. So on a ride day I will eat my normal 2200, plus 3-400 while riding, plus an additional 5-600 during the day. My best estimates put me at burning about 400 calories/hour on…
