Because this was something I didn't think to do: have you updated your MFP profile goals to revise your daily calories/macros now that you've lost weight? If you haven't, you could be eating much closer to maintenance level calories for your new weight.

Is there any interest in a macros challenge? I can usually knock fibre out of the park every single day without even trying, but I seem to struggle getting the recommended protein some days. Or maybe that doesn't really lend itself to a challenge... maybe I should just educate myself on protein powder. Going back to my…

7/30: 88 oz cw: 305.8 (-0.9 lbs) The month is a complete wash for me, with a final +0.1 lb gain for the month. I started going to the gym in July, and 17 days at the gym doing cardio every time plus strength training on alternate days is still too new to show up on the scale, except in minor gains for inflammation. No big…

I can highly recommend the Running Room for professional, friendly, and knowledgeable service. Be prepared to spend more for running shoes than you ever have in your life. My sister told me, "Just buy them; you won't regret it." After I bought the shoes, they told me to take them home and wear them around the house for a…

I went to the Running Room, a retail chain created by a runner for serious running gear. I really felt conspicuous walking in there, a fat lady with all those fit athletes (obvious runners), but I needn't have worried. Everyone was friendly and professional. The sales staff -- I should probably say consultant because they…

You might have hit on your perfect number, when added to all other liquids you consume during the day: coffee, juice, milk, tea, pop, or liquid foods like soup. I have noticed that if I push too hard on drinking plain water on one day (when I'm not really thirsty), I'm frequently lower in water intake the next day, as in I…

I met with my dietician on Monday for the 2-week followup. I had provided her with a few printouts from my MFP food diary. I also gave her my user name on MFP and told her that I have an open diary, so she was able to poke around in my food plan. First, she complimented me on a nutritious plan and the plethora of…

I know a tow truck driver who spends most of the day on the road and who prefers a hot lunch. He used to be a junkfood/fastfood addict. Now he wraps his healthy lunch up in a foil packet and places it on the manifold of his engine while driving to heat it up. Inspired people gonna do creative things to meet their goals. I…

Another couple of resources for you given your stated preferences Reheating foods without a microwave (there's a video on using an Instant Pot to reheat foods) Warm lunch without a microwave I don't personally have an issue with using a microwave, other than how the microwave ruins some foods, but I know many people do…

Hi, @sra455 I have definitely experienced massive water weight after a Chinese food meal. At home I use a reduced sodium soy sauce, and I now find the full salt version far too salty for my taste. It can take me a week or more to recover after a bad salt reaction. I hope your recovery is speedy.

Hi, @JennaLynDuncan. What I do to drink more water: I keep a water jug and a water glass within arms reach, either on my desk at work, or on the coffee table in the living room, or at the kitchen table. I told myself from the get-go that all I had to do was drink the first glass and after that just keep refilling the glass…

Hi, @tammyfranks2. My vote is heat/humidity. It has more of an effect than most people realize. Keep up the good fight and ignore the number for a while. I'm fighting a gaining week too. My calories are below my daily limit. I'm now exercising daily, so that's a factor (sore muscles), and it's been hot-hot-hot, so my…
