I had to read it again to make sure I was interpreting this correctly. 8 pounds per week? That is extremely dangerous and can seriously end up damaging his metabolism and overall health. Since he is a male, the bare bones minimum is 1500 calories. With exercise, he'd need to eat even more--maybe 1700 for an estimate. I am…

I don't think the birth control itself literally makes you grain weight, but from experience (using the oral pill) I have experienced increased hunger. Everyone's body is different, though, and I don't know if you have a thyroid disorder. OP, I've never had the implant, but I would recommend using the pills instead if…

Oh, I'm sorry you're going through all this right now. :( It's hard. I want to see you here every day, so you can be surrounded by others that can help you through your journey. I'm rooting for you :).

Wow... I'm very inspired hearing this! Don't ever give up, and also never fall for any of those "crash" diets again. They just set you up for failure, and lifestyle changes are the only way true weight loss will work. Have you gone to your doctor to get any blood tests done just to see a panel? What scared me into losing…

Tired and bloated lol. I have a 3lb food baby every night, thankfully it goes away in the morning!

Who said I have a heart issue? I experience no negative effects from seeing my own pulse, I actually emailed him about it last night to see if I could see him tomorrow, and I could. I also notice when I lay down I can still see my own pulse since I'm on the thinner side, but so far no fainting, excessive sweating, or…

I know this is a bit old, but I've been replacing carbs with fat and protein and feel a huge difference, heck sometimes I find myself eating less calories now! (Still love my pasta and potatoes tho)
-
Hmm, now that I did some research you're probably right! What if my chest and abdominal area was doing that at the same time? It felt very weird. I go to my heart doctor for a check up next week, I might ask him.

I lost weight on 1400-1500 calories, but I also exercised with eating that amount. I'm small a small build, idk about you but I'm sure MFP has you on the right track :). If you increase your activity you can eat more, too!

My body is more prone to having an "apple" shape when I gain weight, so I do look a lot better when I'm at the lower end of normal BMI, it gives more of the hourglass look. I don't have any breats or butt, but the women on my side of the family have wide hips, and for my dad's side they all have long necks. So I have no…

I always look at the nutrition facts and ingredients before I toss any food into my grocery cart (unless I already know everything in the food is alright because I purchased it before.) I don't use microwavable food much, except when I'm going to school or work and need to pack a lunch. I always meal plan the day before,…

I might've been, I really pushed myself today (not to an extreme extent though). My cardio doctor said that my heart was enlarged from exercise, but never have I see it do what it did today :/

I probably won't count calories my WHOLE life, but I justed started doing it like.. almost 2 months ago I think. If I don't, I actually undereat becaue I'm afraid of overeating. My doctor recommended me get some kind of calorie counter to keep everything in check, so I am.

Do you have PCOS? I do. I never went on any speical diets. I ended up crashing on them, and gained more weight. Have you found any trigger foods with bloating? Normally dairy and whole grains can trigger bloating and even veggues like cauliflower and asparagus. I still eat those things, just with moderation, and moderation…

Mmmm, wonder what vanilla protein powder tastes like, I'm using chocolate XD Tukey sausage sounds good right now

So far for me: Plain hot cereal made from grains unsweetned almond milk Santa cruz peanut butter or full fat greek gods plain yogurt large banana 2 golden kiwis
-
I need at least 8 hours, but I feel my best when I get 10 or 11.
-
Tonight I'll be having some boiled cabbage with baby carrots, baked skinless chicken breast, mini corn on the cob, butternut squash "pasta" served over some basil pesto sauce. I might have some unsweetened almond milk on the side or something else to make up for any gaps in calorie allowance.

I feel the same way, but like stated you cannot spot reduce, or target a certain part of the body and just magically burn fat. I have a lower tummy pooch too, and I'm on the lighter side for my height. I'd recommend reading the sticky or consider weight training. You will actually gain weight from this, but the results…

EDIT: Forgot to mention that I do moderate lifting whenever I have resting days from running
-
Hmm.. I've never thought about just being thirsty. I'll try drinking 16 oz of water after a workout and see the results. My workout on average includes 50 minutes of running on the treadmill on incline. Usually after, I do 45 minutes of pilates. I wouldn't say the pilates is anywhere near as intense as the running though.

Well, if the scale is accurate, then yes, that's right. I think you look perfectly fine, I apologize if my estimate made any matters worse. You are close to being underweight like myself, so please don't try and lose any more weight, it's just as unhealthy as being overweight. If you *feel fat* (like you see some squish in…

Cardio Strength/Weight training Soccer Hiking Track (well, that's cardio but yk)

I think you're between 120-125, in my opinion. If you could give us your weight currently, we could figure things out. I think 120-125 lbs is ideal for your height, I am your height and weigh between 111-113, but after I get enough money to see a nutritionist I'd like to put some weight on with lean muscle so I know I'm on…

I ate whatever I wanted. Just had to remain at a calorie deficit to lose weight, however now I changed that an eat more healthy foods and almost cut out "junk" foods entirely. (occasionally I'll have a little something tho)
-
How big was your calorie deficit now compared to a few years ago? Weight fluctuates too, so you might not weigh as much as you're thinking :)
-
Ooh, is the food perishable, or do you think you'll find it?
-
I eat around 250 carbs, I probably ate more actually when I lost 50 lbs. I wouldn't worry
-
I am dealing with that currently. Self-control is a huge key, I have to sternly think to myself: If you eat that snack cake, you'll end up eating that whole box and you'll end up like your old self. I know deep down I probably wouldn't allow myself to eat a ton of snack cakes, but the thought that I could start going to my…

Everyone pretty much covered it, but when my mom was a kid she played tons of sports and stayed lean, and ate what was given at the table or nothing at all. She had no internet, cable, ect. and played often. I also think there wasn't such a huge boom with the highly processed, sugary/unhealthy fatty foods. I don't think…
