That's my number one thing, routine. If you train your brain to automatically respond in certain situations it makes diet and exercise come easy.

I've heard eating slower helps also as far as giving your stomachs enough time to tell your brain your full.

Nickssweetheart, your definitely right about staying busy. At one point I actually was using my xbox instead of tv for entertainment just to keep busy.

I heard of the water before meals, but never coffee.

That works too lol. I was more talking to the people just getting started or struggling with staying on the right track. I know a lot of people that give up because they give in to those cravings, then they get discouraged and never meet their goals. Thanks for the input though, I appreciate it.

I have no idea about the bars, but I have started eating overnight oats every morning. I put a serving of rolled oats, a tablespoon of chia seeds, half a banana, half cup of blueberries, and a half cup of unsweetened vanilla almond milk. It's about 350 calories or so, but tastes good and is super filling.

Getting started is the hardest part!!

It started as heart health because I had high blood pressure but now that that's not a major factor, it's been just working out my upper body to the best of knowledge. I'm great at eating right and doing cardio but I don't really know how to build muscle efficiently.

Start with small goals and build from there.
