  • I have chocolate when I feel like it, I try and have something around 100 calories because if I tried to cut out chocolate I would crave it so having some when I want it stops me having a chocolate binge.
  • Feel free to add me
  • I’m rewarding myself for every 7lb loss with a trip to the hairdressers, hopefully will be going again next week as I should (fingers crossed ) be over 14lbs lost mark. I think new clothes will need to be a reward at some point too.
  • Hi I’m in a similar position I started as a uk 18 and my goal is to get into a Uk 12, I’m older too and have 4 kids, I lost the weight after the first 3 but after no4 arrived 7 years ago my weight has really crept up and I would like to get back to pre baby me. I started at 204lbs and I’m now 190lbs and at the moment…
  • Hi, I have been an emotional eater my whole life, before I joined mfp I had managed to lose 17lbs on my own without support then my mum died suddenly and I put all that back on plus more. Just before the 1st Anniversary of her death I told myself I owed it to myself to get rid of the weight once and for all so I joined…
  • Hi I’m eating a lot of stir fry’s, I just change the type of meat I use each time so I don’t get bored. I also make soup, it doesn’t take long and it’s really filling especially lentil and veg. Baked potatoes too, throw it in the microwave and it’s ready in less than 10 minutes.
  • I’m 5’2” as well and a mum of 4, I also had my last baby in 2011 and since then my weight has gone up and down. When I started on here 7 weeks ago I was 204lbs, I’m now 190lbs, the lightest I’ve been in the last 7 years is 185 lbs and for some reason I end up gaining it back. This time though I’m more determined than I’ve…
  • I got married at 19 and have always been oblivious to male attention, I think I’m just always in my own bubble and don’t notice. I think it’s just one of those things that it’s nice to be noticed as long as that’s all it is. I made the mistake of being nice to a man at work some years ago and he ended up stalking me which…
  • Totally understand how you feel, I have a couple of friends who I talk to regularly, no best friends and they are all super skinny and can live on big meals and chocolate without gaining weight. I’m an emotional eater it’s always been the first thing I reach for when I’m stressed or upset. Until recently I couldn’t have…
  • Wow, fantastic loss, keep up the good work.

  • I avoid photo’s which is part of the reason I want to lose weight. I want to have photos taken with my kids cause my mum passed away last year and the only pics of the both of us together are ones that were taken without me knowing because I refuse to have my photo taken. I don’t want my kids to look back and realise that…
  • Well done!

  • Hi Amy, I’m 37 and a mum of 4 too, I set this up as a sedentary lifestyle and to lose 1lb a week. I’m sticking to the calories that mfp has recommended, most days I’m eating just under the recommended calories and it seems to be working for me. I haven’t really cut out any food types but eating what I feel like in…
  • Feel free to add me, I’m hoping to lose roughly 40-50lbs overall, I’ve waved goodbye to 10lbs so far so making progress and happy to help motivate and be motivated.
  • Hi I’ve been here a few weeks, also live in leggings and I think that’s why I’ve managed to put on the weight without really noticing. As soon as I lose enough to go down a size I’m getting rid of everything with a stretchy waist. Feel free to add me.
  • Big hugs, fellow emotional eater here too, I lost my mum in March last year and fell off the wagon and put on 17lbs, I’m now trying to take control and get rid of this weight once and for all. Feel free to add me and we can support each other.
  • What a fantastic achievement, you have done so well and you will again it’s just a bump in the road and you will get over it. I don’t deprive myself of food that I enjoy because if I do I crave it which leads to binging so I’ve found I can eat the food I like in moderation. My downfall has always been comfort eating when…
  • Big hugs, I lost my mum suddenly last year, she was only 55 and one minute she was here the next she was gone and it all still feels surreal. Before she died I was doing well and had lost 14lbs but I put that back on plus another 3lbs. I’m an emotional eater, when I’m down or stressed I reach for food but over the last 6…
  • Feel free to add me, we can motivate each other.
  • Big hugs, I too am an emotional eater and so far I’ve found that I’m breaking the habit by logging what I’m eating I’m more mindful rather that just stuffing myself and not thinking about what I’m eating. Sending love and hugs to you and your husband.
  • Welcome, I’m trying to give myself small goals so I don’t overwhelm myself by the full amount I want to lose. I’m an emotional eater and I lost my mum last year so weight I had previously lost went back on. I’ve lost 10lbs so far and I’m hoping to lose another 4 stone. The first target I’ve given myself is to lose 2stone…
  • I’ve lost 10lbs so far, hoping to lose another 40 and start next year as a new woman. Feel free to add me and we can motivate each other.
  • I’m 6 weeks in and I’ve lost 10lbs so far and I’m happy with that, the weight didn’t go on overnight so I know it’s going to take a while to shift it. I’m telling myself that 10 weeks from now I should be down another 10lbs and by Christmas I will hopefully not be too far from my goal weight. It would be nice though if we…
  • 37 and trying to get down to a weight I’m happy with, lost 10lbs so far would really like to lose another 40 and get back to the size I was before I had my 4 babies.
  • Sometimes I really wish it was possible to slap stupidity and ignorance out of people but until then the best thing to do is rise above it. My sister in law did something recently which could really have hurt my feelings if it wasn’t so hypocritical. The only people that know I’m losing weight are my husband, kids and 2…
  • Hi Feel free to add me and we can motivate each other, I was doing well with weight loss then my mum died and I fell off the wagon too, now I’m in the right frame of mind and determined to do this.
  • Hi I would say logging everything is an education in itself, you start to realise exactly why you gained the weight in the first place when you see the calories in some of your favourite foods. Also drink more cause sometimes you think you’re hungry when all your body needs is water to keep you going till your next meal.
  • Hi Clare, I’m fairly new too and also in the UK feel free to add me.
  • Hi Ladies, I’m 38 and have 4 children and my husband is supporting my weight loss but also kind of helped me put on the weight. I haven’t set myself a total weight loss goal as I just want to be happy with my body again but think I’ll need to lose 40+ lbs to get there. Feel free to add me and we can motivate each other.
  • Hi, I’ll add you, we can support and motivate each other.
