Hi There! Yep, I use happy scale. Can see the .5-1lb leap up 2 weeks ago when I started the bulk. Has been stable this past week. I am probably going to keep with these cals until my performance suffers maybe or just add another 100 in 2 weeks. That way, I get a full month of fluctuations to see what I have "gained"...or…

Curious, how long do you all wait to adjust calories? I am 2 weeks into my 100 calorie surplus and have not seen too much, predictably and on purpose! I think perhaps 100 calories may be too small, as, theoretically, it would result in approx 1 lbs gain over a month. As a woman and a human, WOW, 1 lb of actual gain can be…

Got LEGS in today! then was told to go home per possible covid exposure :(

Anyone else plan hard for calves and abs and just never get to them?? Lol
-
Like others, I just went to the gym too
-
Been sleeping 8-10.5 hours a night for a week and loving it!

Those carnitas look amazing
-
Yesterday was upper body. Today is LEGS! 10K steps a day at least. Gotta keep fat gains minimal on my bulk!
-
Pizza - too many years working as a waitress in a pizzeria. Also, when you see teenage boys making dough with their bare hands one too many times....the novelty wears off Ice cream - too many years working as a staff in an ice cream shop. Ironically, I can still probably stomach REAL ice cream once a year or so.

I have been there. Bulking for a minute and then maintenance the next. Stay strong

Stuffing is the only thing I live for during thanksgiving!! oh and pumpkin pie but everyone loves that!
-
Along with what everyone else said, I would start resistance training. @sardelsa @sijomial @cupcakesandproteinshakes @nighthawk584 and a myriad of others can tell you that lifting has changed our physiques and the bodyfat goes down at a decent rate.
-
And here I was thinking that the 2-3 inches that separate our height (I am 5'3'') does not make much of a difference but wow 3000 calories! I cannot imagine!
-
Sure thing. Frankly, after a month, I am not sure if the creatine or more food are allowing me to recover/perform better.
-
I have been using for about a month and have not had any measurable bloating effects. Like @steveko89 I just do 5g post, but not pre.
-
I do the same!
-
2 weeks into bulking and i have been quite stressed from work and then my cycle on top meant 2 weeks of seeing really really high numbers. Staying the course and wondering if it’ll go down. Maybe the creatine and lack of sleep are kicking in.

Yikesssss they are $3.99 here at my store! Def a once in a while thing....esp bc as @Noreenmarie1234 pointed out the cals and it makes me bitter
-
Yep I’m with you on those! Delicious!!

Friday: 2 Mi run Saturday: PHUL upper day 3 Sunday: PHUL lower day 4 Monday: teaching bodypump

I listened to my body. Was feeling quite sluggish and tired after a grueling leg workout this morning. Had a snack and feel so much better!
-
I had drunken noodles last night, called it 620 calories and moved on but did not change my diet at all otherwise.
-
This is awesome!! @AnnPT77
-
Just like "lifting for women" ;)

This and what @steveko89 says is making me rethink my approach and perhaps i will run MAPS Anabolic again. Last 3 months I did it in maintenance. Perhaps we will see more now that I have added more calories! One thing about MAPS is the trigger sessions: 1-3 10 min circuits a day, bodyweight/bands only. I think it has…

I hydrated enough and chugged electrolytes so my legs did not lock up the day after a long hike!! I’m learning!!
-
I am teaching Bodypump tonight and am still tempted to do an upper body day at the gym but know I probably should not given such a short recovery window. 9-10 hours may not be enough time and I could crash.

Thank you my friends ❤️ I’m just going to do PHUL and do 100 cal surplus for a Meso and see where that takes me. I’ll likely go back to full body 3/day week after that. I kinda enjoyed it! Very tough workouts
-
I am the same as you, tiny with some chub. After maintenance for over 2 years, I am biting the bullet and going for a bulk, as I am guessing anything is better than continuing to spin my wheels for mediocre results. Do not cut. You're still too small. Keep on with .5/lb per week.

My heart flew bc of this ❤️
