You're so lucky, I'd be thrilled to find a more active job. The more demanding the better. I've always loved the look of people who workout because of their job/lifestyle --as opposed to those that simply hit the gym. (Which is silly, I know, but still, ha.)

Look, do what you want, enjoy and learn from it, but what I really, really, REALLY recommend is to log everything afterwards. Everythang, even if you have to estimate/eye-ball stuff. Doing that is a HUGE eye opener and it provides valuable information for future conduct.

There are tons of great workouts on YouTube! Search for: Fitness blender Popsugar Sidney Cummings Millionaire Hoy Joanna Soh These all have a wide variety of HIIT cardio, bootcamp, abs, yoga, strength training, stretching, kickboxing, etc.

Yeah, also, I really dislike it that it's hard to figure out the calories in hot beverages from machines and such (and I'm not too good estimating). At least in my country (Argentina), they're not always available. But we must let life happen, as the previous poster stated, otherwise we're all going to become freaks and…

If I'm feeling hungry, I log the workout out in order to eat back the calories, at least partially... sometimes completely. If I'm feeling fine, I don't bother logging the workout and kind of leave it as a fail-safe, in case I underestimated any food calories I logged throughout the week. I'm talking about short 20-30…

Stubborn belly fat sucks. I've been slimming down quite a bit since January by hitting my established deficit (weighing, logging, applying cico & iifym and all that jazz) and adding fun workouts (a mix of short hiit cardio, longer steady cardio, strength training, flexibility) and it's very motivating to see my shoulders,…

May I respectfully ask how long you've consistently been doing this? And what time do ya'll fall asleep, for crying out loud? ^^ I'm a night owl and can't imagine hitting the sack early enough to be asleep by 9-10 pm. Not for evs anyway. I admire you guys a lot, though ✌

Sugar free jello... the type you make from the box. Flavored, of course. I eat the whole thang and it's 70 cal (and 15g of protein).

Ah, I see. Cool, thanks! I'm in the green-yellow portion of the pyramid, which suits me just fine for now. Trying to hit my deficit, my macros... and I'm also pretty mindful of my water/fiber/sodium/variety intake. I guess I'll move up that triangle when the time is right (if ever, hehe, it depends on how much I end up…

Huh. Noob here... I didn't know it was so important to have carbs and protein after a workout. To be more specific, I had heard of it, but dismissed it as broscience. How vigorous does the workout have to be for this to be relevant? I kind of workout to contribute to my deficit (I'm female, short, in my thirties, sedentary…

cool, thanks!

May I ask which one/ones? = )? (I've been wanting to try some kickboxing --at home-- and although I've found some, any suggestions would be appreciated ✌)

Very nice. Thanks for taking the time. I've been reading all the replies and I've definitely learned a bit more. Now, I have been increasing the volume of reps, but it's only been a noticeable challenge for all the "arm" exercises. Huff. But legs and chest, for example, I could go on quiiiiite more... but it gets boring,…

Cool. Thanks for the info and I'll look in to ways to progress without adding weight (just yet). I admit my current workout is feeling less and less of a challenge, so it's inevitable that I take it up a notch.

It won't? Like, even a little bit? Sorry for piggyback ridin' the post here, but I'm starting strength training (started mid february), so I'm doing whole body (as in no splits) workouts, 3x a week, with 4kg (8.8lbs) dumbbells. Following the guidelines of the stickies provided here in MFP. I really, really, really can't…

Ahh, yes, that is hands down the best (and most brutal, calorie-wise and macro-wise) indulgence. Raw cake batter and cookie dough are the one kids' food I still (and probably always will) enjoy :P

Whoa. I thought that was precisely the ideal time to stretch. Has that been debunked too? :/ (Genuinely and respectfully asking, not being sarcastic.) I also thought for a stretch to be beneficial, it had to be held more than a few seconds, lol. Like 30-60 seconds, which, just like the OP, is so boring and time consuming…

It's not "daunting"? Or it's not "the best of both worlds"? Lol, genuine question here :)
