I just bought a spin bike for the house. I wanted a commercial grade, sturdy bike that provided my stats. I went with a Life Cycle ic7. They sell loads of used bikes on the internet (ebay). I would not buy a used bike from a gym because they get used so very much but I would buy one from a person who decided it wasn’t for…

NorthCascades I don’t even know what that is! I don’t think I am.

Say what Jestog63? I don’t think that is pertinent to my question. Thank you though

Great info. I was thinking that the gym bikes are worn out from all of the use they get. Sijomial, I will try your suggested calibration method on tomorrow’s ride. Thank you.

Thanks Jhanleybrown, I tried a power zone ride today and loved it. I am not such a fan of the other classes. Thank you. One side note, if you have concerns about using it, the actual Peloton seems to do a very good job of motivating people who wouldn't otherwise exercise. The app has a little less functionality. It works…

For me, I started out with a mile run like you. As I got stronger and or fit, I wanted to do more. What you are doing is awesome and when you are ready to add more, if ever, you will.

I bought a Life Cycle ic6 bike and downloaded both the Peloton App and the Les Mills on demand App. I teach Les Mills so I am partial. I find that the Peloton coaches (for spin) talk too much aside from coaching for my liking. I am going to cancel Peloton and stick w Les Mills. Les Mills has a lower monthly rate too.

Great news! My sister told me out of the blue, that she joined WW! So she knows there is a problem! I promise I didn’t prod her or say a thing. In fact, I hadn’t talked to her for several days and when I finally did, she shared this news with me! Thanks for all your info,

Thanks for all of your comments. It is so very hard to watch. I am always asking if she wants to go for a walk, if fact, we started a weekly walking time but she bagged after the first week. She and I both are hypothyroid and are followed by endocrinology. It is just sad to me. Her daughter is obese too and her LDL is off…

THanks for your post AnnPT77. I guess I wasn’t very clear. I started my holiday baking in November and I have been having more sugar and sweets than normal. I fully expected to gain some weight. I figured it would have come off but it hasn’t. I am not upset about it but do want it to come off. As far as the popcorn goes, I…

All that popcorn was double the calories that I was counting...

I teach spin and wanted a commercial grade bike for the house. Yesterday I bought a Life Cycle ic6. I will probably get the Peloton app, Les Mills on demand and create my own workouts for variety. The gym I teach at uses the same bike. Before I decided on my bike, I went to several different gyms to try different bikes. I…

Check out the So Olive website and look under vinegars. I have tried the comice pear and cranberry. So good I don’t need oil on my salads any more.

Game Changer is very interesting and I feel like I would like to try it but I also feel like things are going well with my current diet. I eat and or drink animal products at just about every meal and it would be laborious to find food/ beverages that are in compliance.

I just tubed it up and can’t wait to watch it. First scene is nothing but elite athletes and the US Marines. How can it be bad? Will report back.

I’ve read that it is fine to workout with a cold but best not to with a fever or the flu

I like miso or hot and sour soup to warm me up!

Panera Poppyseed dressing....25 cal for two Tbs!!!!

Cori at Redefining Strength has awesome core workouts. I just switched to her program from crunches and notice a big difference. She does a lot of plank variations. Google her...good stuff.

I wear a Polar strap that syncs to my spin bike. I wear a Garmin Fenix. My average watts are between 225 and 275. Yesterday I did a spin class and rode for 68 min and burned 900 kcal. To record exercise calories, I usually take an average from the bike, my watch, and MPF under very vigorous cycling.

I was thinking about a Peloton too but decided against it. I prefer going to the gym and working out with others. I am not interested in the monthly subscription that Peloton, the fee or the content. There are plenty of spin workouts on line to create your own. Personally, I don’t have. Good place to put a Peloton, I don’t…

I used to use milk, switched to Original Coffeemate, then Sugar Free Italian Sweet Cream, Sugar Free French Vanilla, Almond milk, Almond Milk Creamer, and finally settled on Fat Free Half and Half. I was on a quest to reduce calories but really wasn’t enjoying my coffee. The half and half is 25 cals for 2 TBS, I’ll pay the…

Sometimes that happens to me if I just stop peddling instead of slowing down to cool down before I completely stop.

Nice! Congrats and thanks.

I hope you feel better soon North Cascades. Thanks for the info.

Thank you all so much. Today I rested, will tomorrow too. I craved protein and veggies so I obliged myself. I am going to bed early to get ample sleep. Thanks so much for your support.

Shin Black instant soup! I have 6 boxes of 8 cups! Costco is notorious for introducing new, wonderful products and only carrying them for a short period so I stock up.

Journal, hikes with my dog in the woods, 7-8 hours of sleep per night, healthy diet and lots of exercise.

Good to know. I am just going to keep going unless I don’t feel well. I feel fine. Thank you
