I always carry at least one pistol, a flashlight and two knives. But I am also in law enforcement so I have the freedom to do so pretty much anywhere. Your energy must drive your motions, rather than your motions driving your energy. Trying to muscle their way through a technique instead of flowing through it is the most common mistake I see. Not only is it improper form, but it is also inefficient.
