  • Learned that lesson in college. Sorry you had to deal with that. *insert largest eye roll possible here* "not all men" is a garbage response. OP, I'm sorry you had to deal with a trash human. I know too many other women who have had that experience, including myself. It's upsetting and disturbing and you should definitely…
  • Love hiking. Want to learn to climb but don’t really have a place to do it at the time. I avoid bikes because I tend to crash them
  • I do the Sarah’s Day 15 minute workouts when I’m short on time or am too tired to do my normal gym workouts. For only being 15 minutes, they’ll kick your butt.
  • Buffalo chicken in the crockpot. A couple chicken breasts, half a hidden valley ranch seasoning packet, and enough buffalo sauce to cover the chicken. Cook for 8h on low heat or 4h on high heat. Essentially the only calories are from the chicken and you can eat in on a salad or in a wrap or a sandwich...super versatile.
  • I am so down for this. I don’t know how many Halloween costumes ideas I’ve had and then not done because I’m self conscious of my mid-section. SW-167 CW-162 GW-145ish. More focused on appearance/confidence than the actual scale number.
  • Coffee/caffeine dehydrate you. So, while delicious, it’s not going to help you stay hydrated.
  • Easing into the calorie deficit helped me. Also make sure you’re drinking enough water.
  • The biggest thing is finding something you enjoy. I despise running, so a program that’s heavy with running (like Couch to 5K) isn’t sustainable for me. I’ve also discovered that I’m not successful with the “at home” workouts because it’s too easy for me to quit halfway through. Going to a gym almost forces me to power…
  • Have you tried putting hot chocolate mix in your coffee? I usually drink my coffee black so idk if it’d be sweet enough for you, but to me it essentially mimics the flavor of a mocha. And the hot chocolate mix I currently have is 140 cal for a 1/4 cup serving and I use significantly less than that when I make it.
  • @lannebenoit120 there’s an organization called Better Drinking Culture that you might find helpful. https://betterdrinkingculture.org
  • I’ve also recently cut down on alcohol. I haven’t stopped completely because honestly I really enjoy beer but I try to limit myself to one or two. And typically when I’m drinking a lot, it’s cheap beer, so I figured I’d rather save those calories for actual food or good beer. So far I haven’t had anyone really question it.…
  • I’m always looking for friends
  • Solidarity. Co-misery. Whatever you want to call it. And if you read the rest of the comment, I also gave her advice.
  • don't you dare "not all men" me. if you're a man that doesn't suck, you know that isn't directed at you. Every woman I know has gone through something like this, if not worse. So until that changes, men suck.
  • Stress is a huge one for me. I'm taking online classes and notice I tend to mindlessly eat while I'm reading papers/watching lectures. Also alcohol. Almost all of the leisure activities where I live center around or at least involve drinking. I had a hard time not participating/limiting myself if everyone else is drinking…
  • sounds a lot like you're saying it's her fault. This is 1000% on him, not her.
  • Men suck. You have every right to be creeped out by this. I'm creeped out just by reading it. Tell him to leave you alone. If it's really bad, record him being creepy af and report him to someone. DEFINITELY tell the lady at the front not to tell the guy about when you come to the gym.
  • stick with it! I started counting calories about 2.5 weeks ago and just now saw a change on the scale! trust the process! it just takes time.
  • I’m new to the protein powder game, but I’ve had some success with baking with it. So I can still ~treat myself~ but still get some nutritional benefits
  • These helped me start building my arm strength. I've since changed my fitness routine a bit so I'm not using these as much but it might help. Setting a goal other than just "get stronger" has helped me too. I just started bowhunting so I'm trying to do exercises that will help me strengthen muscles I need for that so I can…
  • Plant Nanny is an app that tracks your water. It sends little reminders if you haven't logged in a while and when you log you grow a cute little plant. If you don't drink enough/forget to log it, the plant gets all droopy and sad and will eventually die. It's helped me a lot.
  • SW: 167 CW: 165 GW: 150 (?) Height: 5'7" I've only just started counting calories (about 2 weeks of it) and I've ordered a food scale that should help a lot. I've set my goal weight for 150, but depending on how I look/feel once I reach it, I might drop it another 10 lbs.
  • I just wear a thong if I'm worried about panty lines. Usually I don't care enough to worry about it.
  • thanks @kerrimiller2018 @OBXbrit growing something to repel mosquitoes sounds terribly enticing
  • Make sure you're drinking enough water! I use the app Plant Nanny to help track water.
  • I'm 26 and trying to lose 20-30. Always down to motivate
  • we still have like a month and a half before we're out of frost danger, so I've been researching what I need to get/want to plant. As far as veggies go, I think I know what I want, but still figuring out what herbs to go for. If y'all have any suggestions I'd love to here em!
