Bacon is overrated. Bananas are gross. Raisins should stay grapes.

Dude have you seen the calves of long-time runners??

If people are committed to making a change, they'll find a way, even though the changes. That being said, NO ONE should feel like it's something they need to be doing right now. I didn't realize how much I needed my routine until it was taken from me. I'm still tracking food, but my focus has become making sure I'm hitting…

whoops kinda forgot I started this thread so I'm just getting back to it. I'm not against meats, I just don't want to participate in the meat industry. I'm working my way towards all meat I consume being something I have harvested myself. I'm not there yet, so in the mean time I'm trying to find other sources. Was really…

I don't mind edamame, I just really don't care for tofu or tempeh. I figure if I'm going to eat soy, I'm gonna eat it like it comes off the plant. Really, I'm just trying to be more intentional about where my food comes from, so it's not that I'm avoiding animal products, I just want them sourced locally and ethically. I…

I haven’t heard of such a thing! Do you eat them plain? Add them to things? I’m so intrigued

I don’t eat much fish since I live in a landlocked state but I’m hoping to do some good fishing this summer and hopefully stock up on some trout. And I do eat dairy but I’m trying to move away from it best I can. Yogurt is one of my go to foods for breakfast. I’m finding that most of the typical veggie “protein” sources…

Beachbody on Demand has some pretty decent at home workouts. However, the subscription can be pricey.

It helped me loads! I only prep lunches and it made my morning routine way easier, helped me figure out what I needed at the grocery store and helped me from grabbing unhealthy snacks if I didn't bring enough to eat (exception is any sweets people brought to work, my kryptonite!).

I eat ~5 meals a day. Small breakfast right after waking up. 2nd breakfast around 9:30 or so. Lunch anywhere from 11:30 to 1:30. Small afternoon snack before the gym and then a pretty hefty dinner. Sometimes I add in a dessert as well, depending on my hunger levels/calories left at the end of the day. I really love food.

Figured I'd resurrect this thread as I'm at my goal weight (hovering between 138-142), which puts my BMI smack dab in the middle of the healthy range. My stomach is pretty flat, but definitely still a little fluffy looking so I'm still unsure as to whether I need to lose more weight or if it's something that will just take…

BMI is what kicked me into gear about getting serious and losing weight. Realized that I had creeped into the "overweight" range and was not okay with that. I'm 5'7" and started off at 168, which was a 26 BMI. I'm down to ~140 now which puts me 22. That's right in the middle of my healthy range and I'm quite happy with how…

One week after halloween, and I've hit my goal weight! Hope y'all are still crushing it!

my spiralizer has been one of the best food-related products I've purchased in a long time

I've tried it in the past, it helps after the pain has begun but never seems to keep it from happening. Basically, the tendons under the arch of my feet will cramp up severely...sometimes to the point I can't put any weight on them. I've seen doctors about it before, had custom arch supports made, followed stretching…

Just saw this thread. Not about to ready all 29 pages, but anyone doing LIIFT4? Just finished week one and it kicked my butt (in the best possible way). I do have some questions about modifying some of the exercises. On a lot of the HIIT I have to use the modifier due to some feet problems, but even doing that I will still…

Thanks, y'all! Everything has been super helpful!

Incredible progress and you look fantastic!!

Faving this cause I’m getting close to my goal weight as well and worried/excited about switching to maintenance calories.

I’m originally from SC, now living in SD. The current heat/humidity levels make me feel like I’m back in the southeast. The biggest difference is that at least in the southeast, everywhere had AC...

@TavistockToad strength training is probably how I spend 75% of my time in the gym. Out of my 5-6 days a week exercising, 4-5 of them are strength training

From Feb to about two days ago. It’s not a huge difference, but I’m proud of myself.

If anyone is still in this group, I got my garden planted today! We’ve got tomatoes, peppers, zucchini, cucumbers, lettuce, rosemary, oregano, parsley, basil, and cilantro! Excited to get this going!

I’m still here! It’s just now getting warm so I haven’t been able to get my garden started yet (we had a blizzard about a week and a half ago

Thank you guys so much!

I was always told as a kid that you can’t eat after you brush your teeth and that has seemed to stick with me into adulthood. Usually if my boyfriend is snacking, I can’t resist also grabbing a handful, but if I’ve already brushed my teeth, I almost never go for it.

I haven’t heard much to update on as my scale has been pretty stagnant, but I was able to run for 20 minutes straight and not die (I despise running) and my work pants (which are infamously uncomfortable for women) are becoming less miserable to wear. :)

It doesn’t help that fitting rooms always have the worst lighting. So unflattering. I would find something you like (or even just don’t hate) and ROCK IT. If you act confident, it radiates out of you and that’s the only thing people will see. Even if you have to pretend at first, if you act confident and positive it will…
