Tighten up your logging and weigh things, especially the calorie dense foods. I was surprised at how much more something can weigh than what the suggested serving would. Avoiding carbs like sugary drinks and snack foods can help people stay within their calorie goal, but carbs are necessary for health. Think whole grains,…

Why not just sync it and when you give back to your daughter you can remove it from your Bluetooth devices? I have an Alta hr and I love it! Prior to the hr I had the first model Alta and liked it, but I enjoy the heart rate feature.

I’m hoping that my skin will firm up as I build more muscle. I had my third son three years ago and I gained a lot of weight during my pregnancies 40-60 lbs. I’m tall thin build. I’ve had people recommend taking collagen but I think working the muscles probably does more to improve appearance. I should probably make myself…

I can understand why that might happen. I was hungry all the time while breastfeeding. What you eat makes a big difference. Keep more nutrient dense foods around and avoid having a lot of energy dense snack foods in your pantry. Try and get lots of walks pushing baby or hiking with a carrier to help strengthen your muscles…

Shark and conch which aren’t that unusual, chicken of the wood which is basically a mushroom that grows from certain types of trees This is a pretty mellow list but if you haven’t tried any of these they’re all delicious.

I just bought a bag of four, I think I will try freezing one when they ripen. I’ll be sure to report back once I give it a go.

Yeah, that’s not moderation

Yes, eggs are good nutrition. If you think about it the yolk has all the nutrients for a chick to develop, it’s eggcellent food for most humans too!

Meal prep is a good plan. Definitely want to up your protein post surgery, but I would still stick with lean cuts and more fish if at all possible. Stock your pantry before with things like tuna, soup, nuts, beans, olives.

Instead of trying out different “diets” with restrictions eat a well balanced diet. You don’t have to cut anything completely out, just watch your portions and stay within your calorie goal. Being healthy isn’t about eating a certain way for a brief period of time until you reach your goal. Being healthy is a lifestyle.

From one who studies nutrition, soda is empty calories and although diet drinks may be zero calories that doesn’t make them good for you. Honestly I would rather indulge in the real deal once every couple months. But you will get a lot of people say it doesn’t matter as long as it fits your calories.

I too am on my feet my entire shift at work except breaks and have a Fitbit. I am set to active and have lost about 6 lbs since starting in early March. I notice that Fitbit doesn’t recognize certain activities unless you tell it to and I haven’t figured that out. I did however learn how to add an activity like…

She has more body fat than you. I suspect some body dysmorphia...[/quote] I completely agree with this! We probably can’t tell OP enough that she has a lovely body that TONS of women would envy. Time for some soul searching and learn to love yourself OP❤️❤️❤️

I feel best when I go about it both ways. Stay active, get some workouts in throughout the week, eat a healthy balanced diet within my calorie limits. Some days I eat less than the goal MFP set and some I am probably closer to maintenance.

Also don’t give up! It sounds like overall you’re making progress.

Restaurant food is typically higher in sodium and will cause bloating. My other advice would be to not weigh yourself after you have a dinner out, wait at least a few days.

I agree with others. The suit isn’t flattering, it’s not right for your body shape. I’m positive you can find a bikini that looks awesome on! You have a nice figure and be proud of the work you’re putting in. Dressing rooms are the worst and everyone looks better in the sun.

Just keep at it, slow and steady wins the race!

True, but as many have said exercise and balanced diet combined are what makes one healthy. Just weighing a certain weight doesn’t necessarily make one healthy. I also find adding exercise improves my mind, it releases endorphins. At the least try to get a twenty minute walk in, no gym required for that. You also don’t…

Arbonne is good and I recently tried Amazing grass (I think that’s what it’s called) and so far I like it pretty well.

The rotisserie chicken is a good idea. Add a bag salad or veggie steamer bag and a slice of whole grain bread and it will be about as fast as take out but you’ll have more meat for a couple more meals.

I haven’t seen this but I love hummus. My favorite is carmelized onion from fountain of health.

This shouldn’t be too hard to do. Eat small portions of meals and snacks that have a good balance of the macros you’re shooting for.

Just to chime in on the food scale I will give you an example: made myself a turkey sandwich for lunch today and I decided to weigh it and see if two slices was a serving. Now I figured two slices was a serving and that actually was about 9g less than a serving. I could have just as easily overestimated a serving, so if…

Great work! Goals are good to have but as long as you’re making progress try not to get too hung up on the number. How you feel and know your efforts is what really matters! What do you want to wear?
-
Do your thing! Sounds like you’re being conscious to leave quietly, that’s showing respect. But you have to respect yourself and if getting your workout in early makes you happy, just do it!

If I’m hungry just before bed I’ll eat yogurt. There’s a good range of calories depending on fat and sugar content so you don’t have to go way over. If that’s not a good pick for you just choose something that is low carb and low sodium so you don’t wake up puffy.

I celebrated my birthday with my best friend Saturday night. We ate a lot of delicious Mediterranean food and drank a bottle of wine. Yesterday I managed to only go a little over but I wasn’t very active. Tonight we’re having another big dinner celebrating my oldest son’s graduation and it happens to be my 40th! I’m…

If you can eat chocolate and marshmallows with no problems sugar isn’t your problem. Maybe fiber? I have heard of people having trouble with that. Can you eat any whole grains? Are there any veggies that don’t give you issues? I would either see a specialist as mentioned or research doing an elimination diet to try to find…
