When this group first got going earlier in the year I recall one of the members (not sure which one) who posted before and after selfies of drinking and not drinking - the difference was startling and frightening to see how much of an impact alcohol has on our outward appearance.
I've been taking one per…

Just checking in to say that last night was my hardest in terms of really wanting to drink, and convincing myself that was ok...if it hadn't been Sunday I most likely would have gone to specs for a bottle of vodka. Thankfully, I didn't have that option!

I poured every drop down the drain, even my cooking wine. It was a good decision.

One week down, looking forward to one month! There were 50 reasons to quit, 100 benefits of doing so, and really only one half-*kitten* reason to drink in the first place. Easy math.

Great work!

On another note, last night was our first Saturday in at least a year without vodka and I am so happy! We did it! And the most surprising part is that we still had fun, we still joked around, I had more energy, felt happier than I thought i would, and even stayed up late for a little alone time instead of passing out…

Yes, so grateful to Julie. When I hopped on the bandwagon a few days ago she reminded me that I could post as much as I wanted to, or not at all...it was nice to have permission to lurk and not feel pressured to post immediately!

Since going AF I've started to notice more and more how engrained alcohol is in our current culture. The whole "mommy juice" "rosé all day" "wine o clock" gimmick is spiralling out of control. I was at the dog park Thursday and saw a woman wearing a shirt that said in huge letters, "vodka is always a good idea." I was…

I know I'm late to the thread for the month, but I'm here! I'm on day 4 without a drink, and looking forward to crushing the weekend. My previous m.o. was to drink vodka 4 nights a week, minimum 2 drinks per night...but I work so hard otherwise on my physical And mental health that I decided to say screw that!

I've been shocked at how much more energy I have since starting keto...more motivation and patience with my kids too! Oh, and less brain fog...its amazing what food can do to our bodies and minds.

I've been doing keto for two weeks and logging my meals for one. My goal weight is 125 and I'm at 160 right now. I cannot wait for that first 5 pounds to come off! So far I've had a calorie deficit all week eating keto and adding steps with my fitbit, which is the greatest gadget ever. Add me as a friend if you want to!

Yes! I would love an add. Post partum weight sucks! My youngest is 2 and I'm still 35 lbs. over my goal weight. I struggled with depression for years and it made it almost impossible to start this journey...but I'm doing great now:) I just started logging a week ago, and so far I've logged every single thing. I have a…

I'll be 28 in a few weeks. I'm short too at 5'3"! My goal weight is 125 and I'm at 160 right now. I cannot wait for that first 5 pounds to come off! So far I've had a calorie deficit all week eating mostly keto and adding steps with my fitbit.

Ok, so I'm just starting out and don't have a story of loss YET! But, I can say since starting keto and getting more physically active I have: *little to no depressed episodes (I've been diagnosed with depression and anxiety since 2010) *tons of energy and motivation *more patience with my children...like buckets, and…
