I know! For the longest time I would always avoid protein powders or shakes or bars because I would always have a hard time staying UNDER my protein limit. But lately I've noticed I've been either really under my limit or just barely reaching it. I thought I'd never see the day when I seriously consider protein shakes…

I really enjoy Katherine Michelle on YT, she has a MFP account too http://www.myfitnesspal.com/profile/ksalom

Try not to do that for too long... living at a severe calorie deficit can really mess with your metabolism if you're not mindful, which will make it hard to keep that weight off in the long run

Your body fluctuates in weight throughout the day, it's natural  I was also really obsessed with weighing myself every single day, but that can be just as discouraging and rewarding because of the daily differences. I now weigh and record every 4 days.

Everyone I've heard talking about it say the brand doesn't particularly matter. I've used two different brands and didn't see any notable differences.

I use the Keto sticks too, and from what I understand they lose effectiveness the longer you're on the lifestyle. Last I checked mine I was a 1.5, and I've been been Keto exclusive for over a month, exploring it since last December. I don't know. The more effective way is to check your blood in a device similar to how one…

I generally go to KetoConnect.net for recipes (ketoconnect on YouTube ) and MindOverMunch on YouTube for Meal prepping ideas. Could watch those two all day long

Honestly, it's not necessary. You know when your body is in ketosis, or at least fat adapted . Being mindful of the low carbs thing you're using (whole foods I'm assuming since those don't come with a nutrition label :disappointed: ) and the foods that are higher in fat should keep you full. Count if you want, but you…

Haha, I'm in that same boat. I was hoping the stores would have just egg yolks(since they have a million different brands of egg whites). So many egg whites wasted

It depends on the recipe you're using, but I don't think it would hit 10 carbs. When I make it I use half almond flour, half flax meal, which is 1 tbsp each. Those are the most carb heavy ingredients in the dough.

I know how tempting a low calorie diet is with its fast results. But think of your long term. Eating at a major deficit for long periods of time will seriously impact your metabolism. Remember all the contestants of the biggest loser? Me neither, there's a reason we don't have any reunions or anything. They gain all…

I have the exact same problem, even after being on Keto for a few months now. I Have been incorporating both Butter and MCT oil into any food I can sneak it into (coffee/tea, sauces, baking recipes, fat bombs, ect.). And speaking of fat bombs, those are very helpful. Most people make them as deserts but they don't have to…

@anelyaG I've seen it sold at my local Kroger but I purchased mine from Thrivemarket.com https://thrivemarket.com/p/bragg-liquid-aminos
-
@anelyaG I like to use liquid aminos in place of soy sauce. It tastes similar. The first ingredient is "Vegetable protein from soybeans", I know soy isn't the best for keto, but it's a lot better for us than straight up soy sauce :p

Part of my meal prep routine last week, my own take of fat head pizza crust using half almond-flour, half ground flax meal. Sooo yum >:) <3
