Hello all, I am new here. My name is Samantha and I live in Southern California. I am a 44 year old wife, homeschooling mom to 3 kids (almost 14,12,7) and photographer. I have been overweight pretty much my entire life, but I really started gaining weight after my 3rd child was born and I turned 40. I am up to 218 lbs and…

Hi all, is it too late to join? My name is Samantha. I am 44 years old and currently weigh 218 lbs. I have struggled with my weight my whole life but really gained weight steadily after my 3 child was born 7 years ago and even more after I hit 40. I would like to lose about 60 lbs this year, but a short term goal is to get…

I won't be attending this term. We are still under construction after the fire. It has been really rough on my psyche. I hope to be joining you next term.

Hi ladies, I have been around for a while but hoping to get back on track soon. I know I have gained weight through the holidays, not sure how much. We had a small house fire about 6 weeks ago and my scale (and clothes, shoes, razor heads, extra shampoo, and pretty much everything else previously in my bedroom and master…

Always happy to join challenges. My goal is 10,000 a day, but it is a struggle for me to reach it. Add me!

No loss this week. I feel like 3.5 weeks in is too early for a plateau. I've only lost 8.5 lbs and need to lose 70. Not close to my goal at all. Any tried and true ways to kick it up a notch and get over this hump?

My family went on a ski trip. First, the ski rental employee looked shocked and said, "YOU'RE going to ski?!?!" And then, once on the mountain, I couldn't keep up with my husband and 3 kids. I kept having to stop to catch my breath. My knees hurt. My legs ached. It wasn't fun. I felt like I was missing out on this family…

Don't doubt what you know is right and has been loooooong time proven effective. Don't listen to fads. You've done a great job so far and will continue to get healthy. Focus on something specific today: water intake, getting out into the fresh air, stretching, getting a good night sleep, etc. We all go through funks. The…

Meal prep for me means planning our menu for the week, defrosting meats, gathering all the ingredients (i hate when I go to make something and don't have what I need. I just say screw it, order pizza.), pre-cutting or marinating anything that needs it and having everything ready for each meal during the week. It doesn't…

Hi All, new here. I am 42 years old and heavier than I have ever been....even heavier than 9 months pregnant with a 10 lb baby! I need to lose about 60 lbs, but my first goal is to get back under 200 lbs, then out of the 'obese' category, then to be able to ski and swim with my kids without dying. I would love an…
