I love “s/he who can eat the most and still lose satisfactorily wins”. So apt for so MANY things, one to think of it! North Carolina? Nice!! I have a friend who moved there from New York just to rebuild his life around surfing. Sounds like surf life IS A THING there. I’d love to visit and check out the culture myself...who…

The wisdom of the experienced! Thanks for sharing your insightful commentary. I am a firm believer that age is but a number. I've seen older people with better stamina than me taking on full marathons. So much respect! So, I ran my numbers again through a couple of other calculators and followed a couple of guidelines to…

Thanks for your input! I’m not sure whether it’s net or total carbs. I just took the number recommended to me and track it in the app as is. I think it’s likely total carbs since tracking net carbs will likely require some adjustments to the app, but thanks for pointing that out to me. I’d be thrilled to increase my carb…

I’m eating 1200 calories a day although wonder if that’s too low! I’m 5’6”, 142 lbs and relatively active (walk everywhere in New York, practice ashtanga yoga 4X a week, and surf for a week straight every three months). I’m trying to cut down to 135 lbs to improve my surfing and overall stamina. Thoughts?

I’m in New York and happy to meet new people especially if they surf and are into low carb/keto or paleo. Add me!

Hi! I eat a lot of eggs, organic bacon from Applegate (although there’s also paleo approved brands out there) and grass fed steaks (on top of collagen powder that I add to my coffee). Maybe some of these will inspire your protein choices too? Good luck, and excited to learn from one another :)

I’m 41, have the energy of a 31 and met people who are living their best lives in their 50s and 60s...so, age is but a number! :-) feel free to add me too!

Thanks for your feedback and encouragement, all! Nutrition is such a personal issue and the only way to know what works is by taking matters into our own hands, do our own research, and experiment things for ourselves. I kicked off healthier living through paleo which has been a positive experience for me for the most part…
