You came to the right place. MFP and all those supportive and knowledgeable members are the best what could ever happen to me. 625 days gone, 48 kg / over 100 pounds lost so far.

I agree, with weight loss things are looking "up"...
-
By now I have lost just over 100 pounds - 48 kg and I have some lose skin. It is summer here and I look at elderly people in their summer outfits - loose skin abound. Looks like once we humans reach the 65 + zone we just shrink any which way. Seems to be the future expectations for most of us regardless if we lose weight…

A Teflon life style.

So mankind survived without them for millennia, and billions have been blown into advertising because "it's so good for you..." and now mankind NEEDS them because... some of us are using cell phones now? What has so drastically changed during the last 40 years or so that suddenly the chemical industry (beg your pardon:…

Used to be a basic necessity if you wanted to get out of your house. Let's put a "tag" on now!

In one of the pictures it looks like a damaged / dislocated / broken hip joint. For the rest? I like some of the shoes...

Confucius said: never get confused, just do one step at the time. Seriously now - MFP has so much to offer and there are always supportive members to assist. Have a medical, look at your daily life style and make small changes, one at a time. Start buying healthier food, stay away from any plastic - wrapped food - buy…

Starting to lose teeth - getting there. Seriously: why not eat as mankind has eaten for thousands of years? Grilled meat on the bone I say...

Try Northern Fried Chicken - they come in smaller portions... :)

Love your belt! That says it all.

Very well said / written. I also find it very helpful that I can chose my own macros. No "cheat meals" necessary but a healthy meal plan I enjoy and I can stick with very, very long term.
-
I always track my food / beverages. I want to know what I consume and how many calories I have eaten. I also want to see how a "really, really interesting meals day" looks like and the consequences. I take the excess calories of that day, multiply it by (a theoretical ! ) 365 days, divided by 7700 calories - so that's how…

Joints and ligaments are a pain in the neck! With my huge weight I was advised to start with water aerobics. Good advise, most of my weight is gone in the pool - floating about like a walrus. Next I will do a bit of cycling: initially stationary, my aim is to eventually get onto the road. Cycling also helps with pain…

Since I am going to eat and drink FOREVER, I am going to track FOREVER!

After frustrating / different readings on scales I am now only using the electronic scales at the gym. It is calibrated every 6 months which should guarantee a reasonably precise result. I have also stopped jumping onto some scales every 5 minutes and only weigh myself after gym visits.

Seems to me that mankind doesn't react kindly to "NO!" So I give myself choices and try not to go the route of food / beverages / alcohol: a foot massage at the local spa, doing some charity wok or just a walk to the local park. I also keep some very strong lozenges at home (Fisherman's Friend) One of them and I instantly…

Loved the gym, however initially I didn't fit into / onto any machines / equipment. So I chose water aerobics - the greatest experience ever! Virtually all weight gone but still a good work out. I did make sure to tell instructor about insured knee and they made sure not to give me any exercise to add to the injury. BTW, I…

What you have gained, you can lose again. Think salary - you gained it, next thing it's gone! Stick to a healthy life style like MFP and trust all those supportive members. You can't eat "points" - but you can start weighing all your food / beverages / alcohol diligently, record them here and voila!

Sometimes one's mind can play terrible tricks on us. With everything happening around us 24 hours a day, we have forgotten to take time out for ourselves. I know, this is terribly selfish and there will be 99 fingers wagging, pointing, poking and accusing - but hey, we need to take care of our own inner happiness to keep…

Water aerobics is excellent for the whole body - the moment you are in the water, most of your weight is gone. Fabulous! Just tell your instructor of any ailments, so that he / she excludes any jarring movements which might hurt your joints / ligaments. Enjoy!

For me, yes. Shop assistant thought I was crazy when I bought size 44 jeans when the No. 52 didn't even close. To the left of our mirror are my old pants - size? Who knows. To the right are my new jeans - one day, one day sometimes around Easter next year I hope?

Put it this way: the longer I stick with MFP, track everything with a healthier lifestyle, the greater are my chances to prolong my life and therefore I will be here FOREVER!

Watching all those lovely ladies at the gym and those young (and not so young) men who start grunting, huffing and puffing when a lady passes by. Sometimes they just sit there and start their show - I always ask them if they got asthma and if they need First Aid ! On a serious note: The gentleman who is a bomb survivor and…

Any word attached to "diet" has been a disaster for me. Thanks to MFP I have changed to a "healthier lifestyle" 600 days ago and so far have lost over 44 kg and much more to go. The great advantage here is that I can chose and adjust my daily macros according to my needs. Give it whatever fancy name - everything living on…

I try to stick to the suggested daily calories calculated by MFP. I do exercise as much as possible but with my huge weight I am not doing much more than walking (slowly) and light water aerobics which doesn't seem to amount to much calorie - wise. I try to do this 3 to 4 times a week and do not feel hungry during those…

Rub chicken / chicken pieces with curry powder. Half way through roasting add vegetables of your choice. Voila!

Smoked salmon, a little cottage cheese, some more smoked salmon, fresh dill for the vitamins, a bit of smoked salmon on top.... I could go on...

Best activity level I have seen so far is on sailrabbit.com BMR and TDEE calculations if that helps.

Our daughter is grown up - but when she was a little child we rarely had "snacks, sweets" etc. lying around. We had reasonably normal meal times and there was some fruit to take to school. We warned her friends' parents and that was good enough. Did she eat sweets? I am sure, she did - until the first dentist's visit who…
