Welcome to the community, there is plenty of support here to help keep you motivated. A lot of us have struggled with weight our entire lives and I know there are some (myself included) that have been able to succeed using this app and having the support of everyone here. Best of luck to you!

Welcome to the community! I love it here, there is tons of support and advice, a lot of really great people just trying to get healthy and keep others on track. As far as logging, I LOVE the app. They have everything and make it easy to add something if they don't have it available. Best of luck to you!

Fantastic job and nice shirt! The last few pounds are always the hardest to lose. I have lost 117 and have about 20-30 pounds to go too. I had a huge stall and couldn't get past it. I decided to try intermitten fasting (16 hours of fasting, 8 hours of eating) I had heard great things about it and it has worked wonders for…

Hey there and welcome to the community! Sometime sticking to it can be very hard (there are so many tasty things that don't fit into a diet very well) Just take it one day at a time, focus on the benefits instead of what you are giving up and come here for support when you want to go full on Bruce from Matlida and eat a…

Hi there and welcome to the community! You've come to the perfect place for support, knowledge and lessons learned. It sounds like you are in this for the right reasons and being healthy for your family is one of the best motivators! I have lost 117 pounds, over half of that in a little over a year. It is absolutely doable…

Drink plenty of water, walk as much as possible, realize that weight loss is NOT linear (the scale will fluctuate, you'll have good days and bad days), sometimes the scale doesn't move but the inches are coming off, don't focus on the number but instead focus on how you are feeling. Take pictures along the way in the same…

I only eat any of mine back if I do a significant amount of exercise and burn more than half of the calories I eat for that day.

I don't think there are many people here who trust the projected weight anyhow. I haven't found it to be very accurate (as much as I would like for it to be sometimes) You would literally have to do the same calories and activity every day for that to be accurate, so some days when I exercise more my projected weight is…

I'm not sure about where to do it on MFP, you could add it to your notes in your daily log and choose not to share your diary or you could share your diary and thay way anyone who wanted to read it could. If you are looking for platforms outside of MFP you could do tumblr maybe

Eating healthier, drinking more water and being more active are all great things for your general health and often times lead to improvements of medical conditions (high blood pressure, high cholesterol, diabetes etc.) Focusing on your health and feeling better are the best ways to stay motivated. What better motivation…

I'm a fulltime working, single mother of a 4 year old. I definitely understand how hard it is to find "me time" and how much harder it is to use that incredibly rare time to workout instead of take a bubble bath or go to sleep. It is stressful trying to balance work, being a mother, any sort of relationship (romantic or…

I typically plan my entire day at once. Usually on the night before, sometimes the morning of. It's the only way I can meet all of my goals and helps to not have to scramble for things to eat last minute that still fit within my calories and macro goals. I work 56 hours a week and am a single mom of a four year old, so I…

Absolutely, I enjoy reading updates and getting/giving supportive comments here and there. It really helps keep the motivation when you know you have others cheering for you (even if they are strangers)
