Unfortunately we can't "spot" reduce, so I aim for 130 lbs. My face and bust look better when I'm heavier, and my waist and thighs look better when I'm lighter.

Because of severe GERD, I can't eat anything spicy, acidic (oranges, tomatoes, pickles), greasy, alcoholic, caffeinated, or chocolate. My food life is bland and boring. On the other hand, I'm not tempted to overeat so maintenance is pretty easy now.

Kraft macaroni and cheese, the one in the box made with powdered cheese.

Hot sauce ruins any food it touches. If you put hot sauce on anything, all you can taste is the hot sauce.

You should check each place at the time you expect to use them, like after work. Are they over crowded? Are the locker rooms clean? Is there parking available? Are the people at the front desk friendly? Is the equipment well maintained or are there out-of-order signs on them? Do you feel comfortable at all of the different…

This all-in-one frozen turkey dinner from Trader Joes is pretty tasty. It's turkey, stuffing, and mashed potatoes in a crispy pastry shell, with separate packets of gravy and cranberry sauce. I cooked it in a toaster oven, and came out delicious! It was enough food for me and my husband, with leftovers for tomorrow. My…

I've been using hummus instead of mayo in tuna sandwiches. I think it would work ok in a tuna melt.

I wore knee pads and elbow pads until I felt confident about unclipping. I'm too old to worry about looking uncool!

Greek yogurt for breakfast, beans & grains for lunch, tuna or tofu for dinner.

Maple syrup for athletes is a thing. They sell individual packets for runners and cyclists. Google it.

I used to need iron infusions because of anemia due to heavy periods. I didn't have any side effects. It took a few hours to get the infusion so it was a boring way to spend time. It took 2 or 3 days for my body to convert the iron into red blood cells, and I felt great while it lasted.

Avocados. When my tree is in season (usually November through May) I will eat 2 or three avocados every day.

Recently started using topical Voltaren gel for my knees. It works as well as oral NSAIDs, without the upset stomach and rebound headaches.

My boss comments on anything I eat. One time I had a sandwich with alfalfa sprouts, and she said it was like eating pubic hair.

My quick lunch is a single serving packet of tuna (they're sold plain or seasoned) on a slice of bread or on a green salad.

My quick breakfast is plain Greek yogurt and fruit.

Bewley Irish Breakfast Tea, and Trader Joe's ginger turmeric tea.

1. My bicycle - burns calories and makes me feel good. 2. Single serving packets of Greek yogurt or tuna - easy to take work and meet my protein goals. 3. Unsweetened tea- a little caffeine boost, no calories and keeps me hydrated. 4. Fresh fruit- delicious and full of nutrients. 5. Baked potato- no butter, just garlic…

My husband has renewed his licence for many years without updating his picture or weight, and he has lost 80 lbs. He was delayed briefly by security at the airport because he didn't resemble his picture, but they did finally allow him to board the plane.

Egg whites and tofu do not have much flavor, so you can add almost any seasoning that you like, or mix them into other foods.

I have been vegan, vegetarian, pescatarian, and total carnivore at different times in my life. Each stage can last for several years. I don't decide for ethical or health reasons, but because sometimes meat seems disgusting, and then at another time it smells delicious

I read that the average elite female cyclist is 5'5 and weighs 120 lbs. If taller or shorter, add or subtract 5 lbs for every inch, and add another 5 lbs if over age 40. I'm 5'6, age 59, and a wannabe cyclist so I keep my weight around 130 lbs.

I have chondromalacia patella, loss of cartilage under my knee caps. I had to give up running in my 40's because of the pain, but I became a happy cyclist. Now I'm 59 and can no longer ride a bike, take the stairs, go on a hike,or do any exercises that involve bending my knee. I've started swimming to stay fit. So far it…
