I have before and it definitely feels weird lol. People look at me like I’m nuts and the people I’m with think I’m going overboard. But screw what anyone else thinks if it gives you peace of mind!

Glad it motivated you to get batteries in your food scale! I’m still using both of my scales religiously, even in maintenance. Although I must say I am scary-good at knowing the weight of food/serving sizes now. I play a little game with myself and try to grab exactly 28g of shredded cheese, for example. It’s usually spot…

Update: I’ve hit my final goal. 65 lbs lost ☺️

Yes! I’m the same way! I have fun planning out my meals and treats as well! It definitely helps keep me on track to know I have yummy food all lined up :)

Suddenly I feel like I’m free to talk about eating and how much I love food. Before losing 65 lbs, I was ashamed about my relationship with food. I now feel free to openly admit that yes, I love food! No shame.

I know exactly what you mean, girl! I’m down 63.4 lbs since March 2018...I’m always so shocked when I see pictures of myself after losing the weight. I no longer feel disgusted with how I look. But when I see pictures from before the weight loss, I feel love for my old self and wish that I hadn’t beaten myself up so hard…

That’s about 1.36 lbs per week - a very healthy and reasonable rate. Well done!!

Thank you!! I’m feeling so good!

When creating a recipe, I always mark the serving as 1 and make sure I know the total weight of it all. Then I can just serve myself however much I want, weigh it, and divide that weight by the total weight of the food to get my percentage of that “1” serving. Ie: I have spaghetti sauce that weighs a total of 35 ounces. I…

Love this. This made me tear up 💜

In a weird way, I kind of miss my “padding”. I’m not used to feeling my bones so much. When my boyfriend would put his head on my shoulder 60 lbs ago, it was cozy. Now it kind of hurts my shoulder because it’s so bony. He’s nice and hasn’t said anything but I’m sure he feels it too.

Haha I love this!

This!! I always have to cuddle a pillow now that I’m 60 lbs down. My boyfriend calls the pillow the 3rd wheel 😂

Update #2: As of today, I have hit 60 lbs lost! I’m lowering my goal yet again - going for another 3-5 and then it’s off to maintenance land 🎉

It was actually a gift, so not entirely sure. It’s listed on Amazon for $49.99 though. My boyfriend’s father was tired of watching me struggle with the tiny scale 😂

I got the OXO Kitchen Scale - 11 lb capacity! It’s nice because the display pulls out so you can still see it even if you’ve got a huge plate/pan sitting on top.
-
Update: I finally got a large scale and it has been a game changer!! Salads are a lot easier now 😂

I also use happy scale and log my weight pretty much daily. I’ve found that I have basically become desensitized to the number on the scale because it’s just routine now, it’s not scary anymore. I can clearly see just how much my weight fluctuates from day to day and it’s no big deal when I’m having an “up day” or even an…

I weigh myself daily and log it in Happy Scale every time. I log my weight in MFP about once a week. I used to only weigh once a week and I found that it really messed with my head. I didn’t fully understand the way the scale naturally fluctuates and if I happened to weigh myself on an “up day” it would basically ruin my…
