I’m sure this community exists for discussion and motivational support. If people with ED (like me) came here in hope to find support from strangers, only to found them saying stuff like “get professional help” then what’s the point. The reason why I share my ED here is because I can’t get professional help and I know I’m…

I’ve always wondered about this too. Before my weight loss journey I ate non stop and my stomach never feel full. However, I finally eat in moderation and I feel full even before I finish my meal. I don’t think it shrank but maybe I’m just used to a new habit of eating moderately. Anyway, I do some research and on webmd it…

I love this discussion thread. I don’t share my weight loss plan to my friends or family members because they always look down on me and make me feel unmotivated. But here, I can hide & focus. To me, weight loss is not just about fitness & calories. My mental health is #1. I’m a former ED and some things are triggering.…

This is a dumb question, but how do you add people? I’m using my iphone & if I click your profile, I can only choose “send message” & “ignore”?

Can you give an example of your 3000 calories meal? I’m currently on 1200 calories diet and it consists of: breakfast: oatmeal, boiled eggs, banana & 5 almonds lunch: chicken breast, brown rice & spinach soup dinner: grilled salmon & potato wedges snack: banana & raspberries shake Those are 1200 calories and I feel full. I…

Thanks! I’ll check their recipes out  I’m not a vegetarian but I don’t eat red meat. I like seafood, fruits & veggies. I prefer a quick meal where I don’t have to cook (lazy) haha but omelettes & veggies with egg whites seems pretty easy!

I was an emotional binge eater too. From my experience, here are a few things that help me: 1. Take a deep breathe 2. Listen to music 3. Remind myself that tomorrow is another day and I can start over. My main key is to never give up. It’s okay if you fall, just get up again, and again. Don’t give up & good luck!

If I still have extra calories left for snack, I eat almonds, apple or banana. But always try to avoid snacking and focus on satisfying meal instead.

Same. I used to only eat bread for breakfast. But I’ve been eating apple & sweet potatoes or banana & protein shake for breakfast this past 2 weeks.

I’m on my second week and have lost 1kg so far. I work 6 days a week and with 1200 calories diet plan, I often feel dizzy. What helps me the most is extra snacking and lots of sleep. I’m glad I have sedentary lifestyle because I don’t think I can move more than I already do lol

Hi, a newbie member here! I’m 5’3” CW: 129lbs (58kg) GW: 105lbs (48kg) I’m currently on 1200 calories diet. I’ve only lost 1kg so far, since last week is my first week. Excited to lose a kg this week. Please add me!

I used to eat 1500 calories, I thought it’d help me lose weight. Nope. My weight fluctuated and often gained a few kgs. I’m only 5’3” but 130lbs. Apparently I need to eat 1200 calories to see a change. I finally lose a kg last week. Hopefully I’d lose another kg this week. My goal is to lose 10kg.

I always opt no more than 100 calories drink so mostly Iced Americano / Iced Cafe Latte (skim milk)!

I’m trying to lose 10kg too. But I feel like the “no” part is a little extreme. If you restrict too much, you’d end up binge eating. There are no details to your diet plan either. What is “no carbs”? because fruits contain carbs too. I love having sweet potatoes for dinner and they’re good carbs. Take a deep breathe &…

He compared me to his ex-girlfriend. Also told me to stop trying to lose weight but always complained about how big my thighs are.

Breakfast: Apple & protein shake Skip lunch Dinner: Kaya toast, soft-boiled eggs & fried tofus Snacks: chocolate biscuit

I downloaded this app in hope for meeting supportive people with the same goal as mine. But after a few discussions thread I made, I’m extremely heartbroken & disappointed by people’s reaction. None of them gave me an actual support, instead a bunch of eyerollers & trolls, they seems unhappy with their life and saw me as…

Hello Amanda, I’m a MFP newbie too and would love to make new friends. I’ve been struggling with ED since I was 16. Same as you, ED is not a proud thing to share. Nobody knows I have it. The reason I use this app is to track my calories, so I don’t binge and basically... I just want to be healthier. I could really use a…

People here aren’t very supportive towards ED sufferers/ survivors. Basically they will told you to get professional help because MFP is not the place to share your ED. I have struggle with food & weight loss. I’m also bullimic. Talking with people from MFP about my struggle only triggers my ED because very few gave…

I’m BIG about snacking too. I always feel the need to snack every night. But I realized that’s because I eat little at dinner. Not only that, I feel midnight snacking is sort of an unbreakable habit. If you start stop snacking once, twice, you’ll become used to not snacking at all. But if you really can’t help it, eat an…

I’m 5’3” & 130lbs, I have a pear shape body so everything I eat is stored around my thighs. I’m trying to lose 10-20lbs and this app recommended a 1200 calorie diet. It’s hard when I first started 4 days ago because I usually eat around 1500-1800 calories a day. But I just have to remind myself that I want to be healthier,…
