They're not bad - I enjoy them, as long as I don't eat too many at once :)
-
If only they were chocolate clusters - I could live off of 'cereal'! :)
-
Thank you for the protein puff info - I just saw those today, am glad I didn't jump at the chance! Also hope to find the Nick's bars soon....didn't realize they were available in the US!
-
Yeah, I got nothing. I'm not picky about my bar ingredients (as long as they're legal!), I bought it because it was on sale! But you make a good point, the orange flavor has to come from something, unless egg whites, almonds, cashews and dates mix together to make orange flavor!

I tried one of these for the first time today....it was good...not sure I'll get another (they are a bit sticky, and I think they jumpstarted cravings for me :)). Definitely worth trying, nice change to my normal bar.
-
yes!! As long as they seem to have been in business, seems they'd be a lot more popular ;)
-
I've seen 'digestively corrected' labels on WIO diet foods...always been curious about how they made that determination!
-
Harris Teeter in my area just discontinued all the Low Cow Ice Creams, except Vanilla (and I'm not sure they're keeping it!). I'm so sad :( Emailed to complain, and got the standard, 'we'll forward this to our team' response.
-
My dentist has banned me from Built bars....apparently a little too sticky :(
-
Where did you see Nick's? I've emailed them several times and asked about US distribution, but they never respond!
-
I'm all in for 0 calorie pop tarts!! :):)
-
I emailed to ask, I noticed the Red Velvet and Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip have both disappeared from the lower-calorie page (and seem to be Keto flavors). I think it means Enlightened and I may be done, I can't get the other lower-calorie flavors in my area....

I also tried these and 0/10 they were disgusting. I thought it would be handy to have easy microwave zucchini noodles on hand, but they were terrible! They came out in one big clump of mush and just did not taste very good at all. Fresh is the only way to go with zucchini noodles. The frozen are just not good at all.…

I LOVED these 20 years ago when I did fat free...now that I watch sugar intake, I cringe! They must be pretty well, though, they are still around!
-
These look intriguing!! Plus they gave me an excuse to post on page 1000 of this thread :)

Thank you for sharing - I ordered a chocolate one, which I received and was out of date - it does have a funny aftertaste. I almost liked the texture (reminded me of Nilla wafers), but the aftertaste is a bit much. Good to know it wasn't just the date.
-
I just received one from a reseller - unfortunately it was out of date, but it was good (the Chocolate) - very crunchy, the texture reminded me of the Nilla Wafers. Am curious what they taste like when they're not 2 months past the best buy date!

And I think that is what matters! It seems to be current thought trending towards nutrition being highly individualized. Plus, the older I get, it's more about how I feel than how I'm told to feel :) But that's me....

I use Scivation Xtend BCAAs. I know there are a lot of conflicting opinions, but to be honest, I enjoy them (they have some great flavors). My only objection is that they advertise 0 calories, but *apparently* that's due to FDA labeling requirements (so I just count 4 calories per gram, as protein) - and if you're in…
-
Where???? This looks excellent.
-
YES!! Exact same thing....
-
Could be I'm the odd one :) But I like my protein bars to take a long time to eat. And the Smart Tarts, for me, definitely need to be toasted. And would be better in chocolate, with a nice layer of chocolate icing :)
-
I found the Built Bars and Smart Tarts today at a local GNC...loved them both! I will say that the Built Bars have a very different texture....it reminds me of the jelly candy fillings from Russell Stover....I like it, but I can see why you could bite into it and expect something very different (I did!).

Enlightened Red Velvet and Low Cow Mint Chip!
-
Agreed. I'll probably stick to the MusclePharm Cookies when I have time to wait on the shipment, but it's good to get these locally in a pinch, when I want a cookie!
-
I think the non-dairy switched to faba bean protein, and the protein content subsequently dropped. I kinda gave up on them then and switched brands, couldn't (for me!) justify the cost for so much sugar and so little else. I've heard it's good, though.
-
point taken :)

I'd been buying AZ at Walmart for years, before they changed the formula (and then I switched brands). I've seen it there for at least 3 years, pretty much non-stop (though they seem to have discontinued the flavors I used to buy :)).
-
I think the final verdict on BCAAs may still be a matter of personal ideology, but I use Scivation Xtend and love it. Best one I've tried, fruit punch addict.

Thanks for the pic of the olly cookies - been wanting to try, but wasn't quite ready to take the leap without actually seeing what they looked like!
