  • To get back to the original post that started this thread. Forcing (law) restaurants, bakery’s and such to post calories and break downs of macros and such won’t change a thing. So yes barring a medical condition, it’s %100 the persons fault. I’m not perfect I’ve been overweight. But the problem was me, not companies…
  • I completely agree that health education is important. But outside of schooling those responsibilities fall on the individual or the parents. If one chooses to eat a restaurant, or get a cheeseburger from a food truck ect... that is their choice. They can make whatever meal it is at home and know exactly what is going into…
  • The point is no one is forcing you to purchase those items. A rational thinking person knows that if they eat fried chicken everyday they will gain weight. On top of that nearly all of the things you listed have nutrition info available to a majority of the world.
  • Hi, Mason about to be 28 here from IL USA. I work for a glass company, very physical job in 98* temps most the year. I’ve been very active all my life but never paid attention to the food I ate. 5’11” 170, SW 192 GW 165. I don’t track everyday but I pretty much eat the same everyday. It’s been a long slow process but I…
  • Not a thing, we have enough laws and regulations as it is. Generally a restaurant is going to have a meal higher in calories than you can make at home. Humans managed thousands of years without being obese. No nuntrion labels, no macro counting they got by. If you can’t manage your weight (excluding medical reasons) that’s…
  • That is almost the exact answer you get if you call them. Which I did cause I had the same question.
  • Protien powder, tuna, rice packets and protein bars are always kept in my bag. Never know when you’re going to stuck for a double.

  • Have worked swing shift for nearly 6 years now. Days and afternoons I have a normal eating schedule. On midnights I eat my “lunch” at first break and have a snack/ pre work out food at the end of my shift. I’m not hungry on midnights but if I don’t eat I won’t be able to hit my goals for the day.

  • This is just me, you’ll have to play around to find what keeps you on track. This is my typical breakfast time meal (but not always my break fast meal). 4-5 egg whites, 1 serving of shredded cheese, 1 serving of uncured canadian bacon, some salsa, 2-4 slices of toast with sugar free preserves and a bottle of water. Off the…
  • I turned my negative calories off but that’s just me it’s not for everyone. The one downside to the pair AW and MFP is it usually counts my whole workout as cardio. Not a big deal but in my diary it looks like all I do is run. I turned my negative calories off in the app as well.
  • I’m still pretty new to using this app but I rarely hit my calories for the day. But I also don’t starve myself to stay under. I eat when I’m hungry and stop when I’m full. But like others have said if I know I’m going to have a high calorie meal (eating out) I’ll mainly stick to water and light snacks for the day.

  • I too work swing shift. I track midnight to midnight. When I’m on my midnight rotation I track my meals at work as breakfast. I track my post work out meal as lunch and my dinner as dinner. But to me times don’t matter for my eating like some others try I watch.
